Does Instagram have reach that increases based on interactions with posts?

e.g. accounts with tons of fake followers have decreased reach because their posts get a low % of engagement?

Don't follow back the bot followers, so they will automatically unfollow you after a couple of days, in my opinion.

So then, if two accounts in the same niche post the same image, and one gets 2x the likes (and they don't have the same followers), it means that the account with the low like count has followers that don't actually like the image? I've got two accounts in the same vertical and one is getting 2x the amount of engagement for no apparent reason. All posts are different and done by the same team and the niche is the same, but one is performing 2x better and I can't figure out why.

there are more factors to consider here:
-previous bans or temp bans
-account age
-type of followers
-account growth rate
-post reach (how many people see it)

or one account could be flagged by Ig whereby they limit the amount of people that see the post.

This can be probably be due to a lot of inactive followers for the account that has the lowest engagement compared to the other. It can also consist of accounts followed by the bots. It depends on the quality of the audience you have on both accounts. One might have better targeted audience than the other.

My post at best reach 5000k people and I never make the top hashtags, even if my posts are premium stuff and my hashtags targeting is good.

Is there any way to get out of this position?

Probably this is due to the temporary ban. What was the usual reach for your posts before the ban occurred?

My instagram page wasn't linked to a facebook page before that so I can't tell the exact reach but it shows in the likes per picture. I had way more engagement before the temporary ban.

I used to follow people manually back in the days, I was rushing the account way too much now I have flk.
