So guys how many of you have used drupal? I know most of the guys love here WordPress as it's easy to start.
Just like plug and play.

But

Those who have tried drupal please share your experience as I have been using drupal from quite a long time ago and getting great results with seo because of Drupal's flexible architecture of URL management.

I'm sorry, but you cannot compare Drupal vs WordPress for SEO. If you are choosing your platform based on SEO you gotta re-think what are you doing. They are 2 different things, but the difference is not SEO.

QUE? .. Please evolve on this subject a bit more, I have used Drupal, Joomla(Even when it just was called Mambo), Wordpress and a lot more cms-systems since mid 90´s and really? SEO? Sounds more like someone is kind of a "fanboy" here, instead of explaining WHY Drupal is better for SEO.

A small advice, use whatever cms system there is out there, with the right knowledge of that system it is as good as the rest of them for SEO.

Please, do not spread this kind of information in an open forum since there are a lot of new people here that are learning website building and they may start believe what you write when it is straight up BS.

So with just Drupal7 and good content I can rank #1 and get HUGE gains in PA?

"Guys a BMW will give you more SEO then an Audi"

As if anyone who is serious about SEO uses default functionality of CMS/Blogsystem...

It seems to me that the flexibility of url between these 2 CMS`s are the same. It has different ways to implement though.
SEO? You can even use an unknown CMS to beat low quality and un-optimized sites built with WP or Drupal.

and really who have time for SEO? There is so many ways to generate traffic now days, SEO is like ... dead.

SEO is like.... alive and kicking. Don't spread the BS.
Tell me what kind of animal are you chasing this month? Still playing with penguins?

SEO is alive, but for real marketers is dead. You have to wait until updates, build links, track results. It is a long process. You can make more money and quicker with a FB fan page and craiglist than with SEO.

SEO is good practice, but even look at G's first page. If you are building a long term 5+ years big site, it will make sense. But for a 1 year domain site for some adsense ... chase the penguin.

Drupal is not easy to work with. Specially for people used to wp.

Yeah you are right for quick results its fine to use social share and other tricks.

But Seo pays you off slowly slowly. When you make domain as brand you get better results.

I had to wait very long to get the results start coming. Also my website got accidentally deleted and had no backup which caused me lots of trouble but now again it's back to the normal.

So what if you can change the URL?

"Drupal's flexible architecture of URL management"

You can change the URL in Wordpress as well, with %xxx%.

Were you talking about something else?

From WordPress I think you don't get out of Box seo features but with drupal we get it as a core. Also it's taxonomy based tagging structure makes its seo friendly.

I have used WordPress very little so don't know much for the current situation.

What you can do in one CMS you can do in any other. I would say a majority of this forum members use wordpress so it's clearly not limiting their ability to rank websites. Its just a matter of personal taste.

who tf said SEO is dead? lol if you aren't doing SEO then don't claim its dead.
Its just that there are now alternative ways

Well if you are comfortable with Drupal and it gives you good results then its a good thing. However, to the majority, wordpress is easier to use.

In the time that Paid Traffic gives you a high conversion it also the time for SEO because many businessmans depend on Ads. There are two effects:
- More competetive more money to pay
- Trust rate in Ads will decrease dramatically (because of not the highest quality product will show up at the 1st place...) and the real customer will choose the organic result
In my opinion, nowaday is the best time for begining SEO. Sorry for bad language.
