Are big brands trustful?

I just got contacted by a big brand recently and they send me a link to their influencer network, where I had to register an account. The crazy part is, you have to link an social media account, in this case It's an IG. So you have to login into your IG on their page, to add it. How trustful is that? I dont even trust third party apps, regarding my security, so why would I trust them? Why do I need to add my account like that? It's the exact instagram login Interface, I dont know if they recieve the login details that way..

i wouldn't trust it one bit. it's not hard to create a fake login page.

If I recall correctly someone posted that's how they got their account hacked before.

I'm pretty sure It's not a phishing site at first hand. They are well established on social media 1Mio+ Twitter, 1Mio+ Instagram and I know them from other influencers that posted their ads. Also the email is the same as the shown support mail on the homepage. Maybe It's their extremely professional way to handle collaborations?

If the URL is legit and they just want access to your accounts stats via a third party app they developed, I'm pretty sure it would be safe. Just have to look over what permissions you're granting the third party app.

If the login url is under instagram.com, I reckon it's safe. Be very careful if it's under their own url but made to look like instagram's login page.
