Might seem like a strange question but this is the lounge and i felt like asking.

I woke this morning at 5am ish and made my way to the toilet for a man (stood up) wee, pee, piss, slash whatever you wanna call it.

I don't remember making my way there or starting the process of having a pee, all i remember is suddenly becoming aware of feeling really hot, then hearing a loud ringing noise before losing my sight.

Then i woke up on the floor beside the toilet. (Somehow i didn't pee on myself or on the floor)

My next memory is being woken by my wife in front of the bedroom door where i had passed out again, she knew i was there because of the loud bang caused by me falling. I have no recollection of moving from the bathroom floor to the bedroom.

Im yet to see the doctor but i think it may have been caused by pain in my ankle.

Have you ever passed out / fainted unexpectedly?

I only passed out once in my life when i gave several units of blood. I have 0 negative type and it was emergency for family member.

@Hawkster scary indeed

Damn man, definitely need to get that checked up. Last time I passed out was from a bike accident and I tore through half my leg skin.

Suffering with anxiety at the moment, have done for years but much worse in the last 5 months. But i have a grasp on it and don't think that or stress was what caused it.

I have a problem with my foot though which is causing considerable pain. So i think it may have been that. Who knows....

I never fainted before ever. I found the whole experience really strange.

That's scary m8

Experiencing any more than usual stress lately?

I'm no doctor but I remember something similar happened to my mom. Do you remember a taste similar to metal in your mouth before passing out?

No, but i have heard that before, people sensing weird tastes of copper etc.

You should get checked out asap because that could be anything. Aneurysm, low blood sugar - anything. Make sure the Doctor does a full check up too. Not just those typical in and out checkups.

Working at a burger place. It's hot as fuck. Grill behind me, fryer in front. I'm dehydrated so I go to get a drink. Then I barely see. I thought it was just my vision adjusting.
But it didn't come back. I'm walking back with a drink in my hand and I start to stumble... In front of customers. Shit! I couldn't see for like 3 minutes and was so confused.

My asshole boss took of 10 minutes of pay for that. wtf.

I don't think you should worry too much about it. Safe thing to do would be to go to the doctor, better be safe than sorry.

Whats wrong with your ankle? do you do drugs, pills, alcohol or cigarettes?

the ringing sound and loss of vision before passing makes it sound more blood related. low blood sugar levels, low oxygen level, low blood pressure. - i'd guess on one of those. either way make sure to get a thorough check up.

dont be afraid to mention about your family medical history if you know anything specific even if the doctor doesnt ask you about it. most of the time doctors dont ask about it although it can be really important, so speak up.

Sure... :p

Blood tastes like metal doesn't it? I think that's what LuckyCharm was talking about.

Edit: Wait wut, I'm not jr vip anymore? :o

@Hawkster

Been through exactly this same thing, I thought I was the only one, although I was 14-15 when it happened.

Woke up in the middle of the night to relieve myself, next thing I remember I was on the floor near the bathtub wondering how I got there lol. I didn't realize I'd passed out until moments later.

It could just be from exhaustion and not giving your body enough time to wake up properly, I wouldn't worry about it

This kind of thing happens to me all the time, I have a condition called neurocardiogenic syncope or vasovagal response. When I am too stressed or anxious, for example when I go to the doctor for a blood test, I usually get extremely nervous and pass out (vasovagal attack) exactly as you related. Some people suffer of chronic cases of vasovagal response (like passing out everyday), some experience mild symptoms, like me.

I almost passed out / fainted unexpectedly while in the shower yesterday. I woke up had my coffee took my shower then got dizzy and felt like I was about to faint. First time that has happened.

Like others said, it could be a lot of things, although another suggestion is that you could be anaemic. Go to the doctor and have them run some tests.

Out of curiosity, did your wife question what you were doing passed out on the floor with your wanger out (autoerotic asphyxiation)? Just kidding. :p

He might be anemic (because why not?), but this has nothing to do with what happened to him.
The most important thing he said imo was that he felt really hot. When you feel hot, your capillaries dilate, so 'liquid' from blood can get out, and evaporate at the end, to lose Q (hotness, dunno how to call it.. calor? ).

Because he felt hot before collapsing, means that the reason of collapsing is that all his vessels dilated, and all his blood went on the lower part of the body, so no more blood for the brain, so it shuts itself down to survive (consume less energy).

My ex had this problem when she was seeing blood in hospital (we do a lot of practice in hospitals, as future doctors). She really had no control over it, when she saw blood, then collapsed... Now she transferred herself to Dentistry :p

Hope is not something serious. It happened to me only once when I was 15 or 16 and playing wow all day (many people have died this way ) no food, no movement, no water 48 hours gaming. What can I say ...I was stupid...
