He's not a random guy, he is part of The Dodo, he knows the social media rules and he with a new idea on twitter - don't reupload, just retweet. He said he wants to be different, to retweet not to steal content from others. That's why he had success. Great find! Glad I can put a face behind the account.

Great post, can you elaborate on what they are changing the caption from before the promotional shutout?

Are they initially saying junk like: 'Tag a turkey who would love this post....'

They are initially posting pretty simple comments. I haven't yet seen the "tag someone..." caption, but it might be on there somewhere. I think if they posted the "I follow @kalesalad and u should too" - Kendall Jenner and Jesus" initially then their followers would get annoyed. Because they're changing it afterwards, it attracts more people to follow them. This is because the people who are most likely looking at their older content are usually scrolling on their profile or they're seeing it in their explore. It's quite brilliant, actually.

Thanks for the info. Could the initial caption have also held the hashtags?? You said they don't use any...

Interesting that the account doesn't use hashtags.. very interesting case here. Gonna have to check out more info on growing an Instagram account.
There are allot of big IG accounts that don't use hashtags and still grow like crazy.
I just don't know if it's a strategies play by the owner of the profile or just laziness. It seems to work great though.

I think it's entirely possible that the owner is purchasing shoutouts or even does shoutouts from his own large accounts.

So, I found this account on Instagram about a month ago while I was on my personal account, and I thought I'd share my notes with you on why this account is so successful. This account is relatively young. It's been picking up the pace the past couple months, and it's just surpassed over 100,000 followers. As far as I can tell, there's no reason to think any of the followers, likes, or comments are fake. If you can prove to me that they're fake, I'm open to listen!

I cant explain the engagement but growing at least 30k-50k in 30 days is normal for people using engaged telegram groups. Everybodys growth is like this. The better people are growing 30k a week.

I'd like to see an instance of it somewhere.

Show me another account in the high 5 figure range or low 6 figure range that's growing at 30k, 20k, or 15k per week.

Daquan (6 million followers) gained 100,000 this week, but that's at 6 million followers.
FuckJerry (10 million followers) gained 56,000 this week, and that's at 10 million followers.

2 accounts have gain 0 to 1 million in 4 months in our telegram groups. I can name 20 accounts that are gaining 30k a week in our group. Im not listing here. DM me if u want names.

But how do you know it hasn't been buying shoutouts? You said its posts usually get picked up by 1m+ accounts in a few days, but those could be purchased shouts. Also, the owner may own some of those large 1m+ accounts.

In which way am I promoting my eBook? You're the only one that's mentioned my eBook in here. And by the way, most people seem to like my eBook. :)

It's kind of sad you're getting mad at someone who is supplying free content that's helpful. I think this is the second time you've gotten mad at me for providing quality content. Grow up.

And yes, bad accounts can't go viral, and good content leads to natural growth. If you can find one instance where that's not true, then please post it.

Thanks :)

Lower engagement content usually means poorer content. By maintaining higher quality content and getting rid of the content that doesn't do well, it will make the account look better - which will increase followers. People like following attractive accounts, and accounts that are doing well.

Ok, but just so I get it clear. Your followers or potential followers have to "investiagte" your accounts by going throught the posts for this to affect you, right? There is no other way a bad engagement can affect you?

I've yet to see source credited or a tag on any of those large accounts. I have also yet to see a shoutout. If you can find something, please post it!

They don't "have to" investigate. A lot of people will see one picture and follow. However, a lot of people want to follow accounts that post high quality content. High quality content can usually be detected by engagement. By deleting lower engagement posts, you're eliminating the content that your followers liked the least. So in a sense, you're curating the most attractive account by listening to what your followers like and dislike. So, if you're creating the ultimate account for your followers, it'll likely be a much more attractive account to any potential follower.

This is inspirational.

What do you think about having a Instagram page that is really art themed, how should you keep it going follower wise?

I post 3-4 times a day and I wanted to see some ideas what to do.

If people are going to throw out random statements trying to disprove something I've said, I expect them to back it up with some information. Still haven't heard anything. That's all. :)

thanks for sharing bro...

You're welcome.

Hey igking!
I got a few questions.

How do a new account grow without hashtags and without follow/unfollow method in the end?
I mean new accounts usually get low engagement so people could hardly find their accounts.

Maybe what I'm doing is wrong since one of my accounts only grow to 12.1k currently in 3 months with following/unfollowing method and with hashtags in my niche :/.
