Hello there!
So recently I got a bunch of PMs about how I make money with Fiverr. I noticed that a lot of users here at BHW don't like Fiverr and everything, and I get it. As I mentioned in another thread, I wouldn't buy a damn thing on Fiverr. Aside from the fact I can do most of that stuff myself, I just wouldn't because the quality of work and amount of scammers on there is ridiculous.
However, Fiverr absolutely CAN be a tremendous resource for those looking to make extra money from home. I myself have seen a substantial rise in my numbers over the last 6 months and now Fiverr easily makes me anywhere from $200-$400/week. Not retirement money, but certainly a decent source of income to add to my revenue streams.
So with that said, let me share what I shared with a few others and I hope this helps.
Now, here's the thing about Fiverr; just like any other business it will take time, patience, and work.
I didn't get to where I am now with it over night, in fact, it took like almost 2 years. That's partially because I didn't dedicate so much time to it until recently and I likely could be doing better if I promoted my gigs right, got more reviews, etc.
The thing about Fiverr is finding what YOU can do, that doesn't take that much time, and yields a decent return.
For example; one of my primary gigs is Flyer Distribution. It's so beyond easy. Customers will have me either create their flyers OR print/distribute them. Sometimes they will mail me the flyers instead of me printing them. Whatever. Now, one of my more recent orders was for 1000 flyers distributed in Chicago, USA. I do not live anywhere near Chicago. How do I do it? Simple. I quote the customer for 1000 flyers distributed for $500, which is per my standard fee. So he'll pay $500 of which I'll get $400 due to the Fiverr fee. Okay. So now I go on Craigslist in the Chicago area or something and throw up an Ad for someone to distribute flyers in that area. I tell them that it's about 30 minutes to an hour of work for say $50. You can make it $100 if you have to. You specifically mention that the distributor won't get paid until he sends you pictures of completed work. Once he does that, I pay the distributor like $50 and for doing next to nothing, I just profited $350. And that's one gig and one idea.
The key is to think outside of the box. Think about what you can do and think about ways to automate or make it a simple business. By utilizing the internet, I can distribute flyers for anyone, anywhere, and make a decent profit off all orders. I have a bunch of other gigs too and this is only one idea of mine, but you get the point.
The second key really is to get reviews. I can only imagine what my income from Fiverr would look like if I bought reviews or had friends do them for me. I honest to God haven't though (didn't wanna spend the money) and have taken slower than most might because I've relied on legitimate reviews. All of my reviews are great (which is huge and another key) and that's how you build up. Now, eventually, as I get more reviews, whenever someone searches Fiverr for Flyer Distribution, they'll see my gig. And likely order it too.
So if you're just starting out there or have been there but no success, remember these key points:
* Think outside the box. Think of gigs and ways to accomplish them that most haven't OR think of gigs that can be done with small bits of help from outside sources (otherwise known as outsourcing). If you think outside the box and think of what others aren't doing, or a spin on what they are, you will find success.
* REVIEWS. The reason I get so many orders is because I have a great rating, many positive reviews, and lots of completed orders. As I mentioned, I actually have been White Hat as hell with my reviews, but if I ever straight up paid for reviews or had friends do it? Omg. I'd be worlds ahead of where I am now.
* Patience. A steady weekly stream isn't going to happen overnight. It takes time and patience.
* Buyer Requests. For those who don't know much about Fiverr, there are buyer requests, and you can place 10 a day (although if you do it smart, due to time zone differences, you can do like 10 in the early morning when you wake up and 10 at night). You absolutely need to hit your quota every time. If you don't even inquire, it's like letting potential money just walk away. I'll never forget responding to a buyer request at 3am one day and that customer would place an order for $300. He would go on to re-order my services (at the same price) 3 more times. The income and good reviews from that one customer was huge, obviously.
* Automation. As I've already mentioned really and as most of you IMs out there know, we're looking for systems of automation. That flyer distribution example is just one of many that I have and is so beyond easy, even the newest of newbs could do it. It's just a matter of creative thinking and utilizing all resources provided to us!
