Hello ,

I have identified a niche to start a new blog,

Identified the exact keyword,

But

"Keyword.com" is not available (a live site is already active) whereas "keywords.com" is available and "keyword.us" is available.

My niche is 100% for US users

I want you to recommend the domain name which you would have bought in this case.

The first page contains,

keyword.com site,

wiki pages

and "otherreleveantkeyword.com" websites

Please guys recommend me which domain to buy. and IF at all I should dive in this niche or not.

Thanks in advance

Can you post a blog thrice a week for 3 months continuously ?

Can you offer any products in that niche?

If yea, go ahead

For the name, select a keyword , put it in the domain. Then go creative.

Just remember >>> the shorter it is the better

See where this is going?

go for keywords.com if thats a short word with s at the end. Otherwise choose smth. brandable.

I tend to agree with Mr. Anderson, the shorter the better.

Exact match domains really do not hold the same weight as they used to. I'm starting to see more value in creating my own brands and platforms.

If the keyword is sort of short, maybe consider KeywordDeals.com or KeywordExperts.com.

I see a lot of domains with letter on start or in the end of 'keyword' and they worked fine.

You could try www.namemesh.com it would give you huge list of examples which is not registered yet. I know for couple more good domain name generators if you need.

Yeah, I mean look at blackhatworld.com

has a partial keyword 'blackhat'. Doesn't really matter. The content quality will weigh more.

If you're building a business, choose something brandable. If you're building a website, go with any variation of your keyword (including added words: best, online, buy, review, guide, etc.). The TLD matters only to your visitors, not Google. It's main purpose is to inspire trust among your target audience.

I am just trying to make an Adsense niche website. I cannot make a brand out of the keyword. Just a adsense site for passive income. I have read in various publications that EMD is still the BEST. Even the adsense niche site seller here at BHW recommends EMD atleast.

Anyone who used an EMD and made big in adsense?

Yes, exact match domains still have some benefits, but not as much as they used to. You should probably go with keywords.com, then.

Keep in mind, that EMDs are not so effective as they used to be, so don't expect miracle rankings simply because you've got the keyword in the domain...

As for choosing a domain, go for the .com and just put something before or after the keyword, as long as you don't make the domain too long and it doesn't look silly.

You could give a try for keyword.us because you said you target only for US users.
It is the best way to choose the .us domain to get the traffic.
It is one of the factor to choose a domain for specific countries.
So my suggestion for your idea is you can choose .us for better results.

And for the sake of god, please don't use any hyphens and numbers.
HAHAHA... Agree to that :D

Exactly my thought. I have seen various websites with the keyword in domain + gTLD ranking far better than some high authority websites with 10x the number of words and SEO in that specific location. Simple example is if I want to setup a website for a dentist in , NewYork - I would go for bestdentistinnewyork.nyc rather than bestdentistinnewyork.com or .us

Yeah specific location traffic gives good results and for dentist my suggestion was bestdentistinneywork.us
It seems legit and in site you will concentrate in both On page and Off page methods for better results.
But don't use any symbols or numbers in the domain name it gives bad results.
Try to work on quality.

Yes .US will definitely have more authority towards it rather .NYC. Thanks a lot for the suggestions :)
