I am looking into buying website for "passive income" with amazon as an affiliate.
What kind of income can I expect?
what kind of expenses should I expect?
what should I start reading into the improve my income?
Any other insight will be greatly appreciated.
Income - it depends on the niche and how much effort you put into building and maintaining an audience. It isn't passive at first and it may never be passive depending on how much competition is in the niche and how dynamic the products in the niche are.
Expenses - hosting ($50/year); website maintenance (depends on whether you do it yourself or not), content writers (again are you doing it yourself or hiring someone), social media management (again you or someone else)
Read journeys in here specifically I think meathead (there are numbers after his name but it escapes me -- look in journeys I think) has an awesome tutorial for newbies.
Are you buying an established site or building one? Even if you buy an established one I would be looking at the tutorials and journeys to be sure that it was built properly and is leveraging the correct keywords , SEO tactics etc..
Here is the journey that I was referring to: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...on-newbie-friendly-phase-5a-published.832879/Ill take it all into account thank you! im buying the site prebuilt and I have a friend that will handle all the SEO stuf for close to free. I think ill do more research prior to buying.
And.. sorry last one... make sure that the niche you chose is something you can see yourself dealing in for awhile... you don't have to love it but at least tolerate it and be interested enough to learn more about it as it grows and evolves. If it bores you to tears you may not be motivated to keep going when the money isn't pouring in to motivate you.
