Youtube Playlist Downloader

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a reliable youtube playlist downloader as I want to get a couple of hundred songs and I don't want to download them one by one. What softwares/websites have you used and are they reliable and safe?

Checkout youtube-dl

All you need to type in your terminal after installing is this

youtube-dl http://url-to-playlist

yeah it's just that simple.

And if you take some extra steps to install ffmpeg as well (I can help), you can convert the videos directly to mp3 right after they download.

youtube-dl -x --audio-format mp3 http://url-to-playlist

Good question. I thought it's a freeware. I've never used the playlist downloader function, i only downloaded single files with it for free.

Anyway, try this: https://www.4kdownload.com/products/product-videodownloader, i think this one is free.

Keepvid is another good one, however it seems, that's not entirely free either anymore.

+1 for youtube-dl if you're fine with command line. It is definitely the fastest way.

It's an universal tool that can download almost anything on the internet

Here is how to download a whole playlist from youtube:
- ctrl+c the playlist's url
- select "complete playlist" & wait for it to scrape all videos
- in link collector, highlight all links, rightclick -> 'move to new package'
- sort the link list by variant & delete all non-audio-files
- rightclick -> start downloads

Don't worry, it's easier than it sounds

I'm currently trying this, I managed to download around 50 songs with it and now it went a bit slow. Dunno why.

JDownloader is the absolut best
You can set that it just downloads the music and not the whole Video before you start
If it slows down than its YouTube that cuts your rate not the Programm.

Thanks mate, and yeah I decided to download only audio files. The smallest problem is that it can't download the audio file of all songs, but that shouldn't be such a problem

Have you tried that 4kdownload thingy i posted above? That appears to be free, unlimited and supports playlist downloads.

Well, I managed to download around 200 songs with JDownloader and I haven't tried the 4kdownload one yet.

I remember having similar problem, but I think this is not a JDownloader issue. I can imagine YouTube to limit download speed / connections when there are many requests from the same device.

youtube-dl. If the question is "How can i download a video off <insert website name>?" and answer is always youtube-dl it downloads absolutely everything and the list for the number of sites it can download off is massive. and even if the website you want to download off of isnt specifically supported it just defaults to a general video downloader that usually does the job.
