So.. I started this whole "Internet Marketing" to earn money and somehow I ended up on Instagram. I started with zero knowledge at the beginning of 2016 and over time I've read pretty much stuff about earning on Instagram. Crazily big opportunities, goldmine, no limits.. Maybe those impressions motivated me to continue and not to quit, which I wanted several times.. When I started, I thought you were able to earn a good amount of money at around 100k followers and up to 100$ a day around 500k, even more at 1M (I almost believed that an 1 Mio account could replace a full time Job..)
Right now, I'm about to hit 600k on my biggest account. WOW! 600k.. And my views did completely change. Some months ago, I thought this would be impossible, but I made it. Now I'm asking you.. Imagine having a 600k+ account. How much do you think you can make? I guess you will be totally wrong.
I havent even tried to monetize this account till I hit 500k, but over that time, I didnt get a single mail regarding collabs/ads/shouts. It's crazy. On my smaller accounts, I've made around 2k $ in like 1-2 months.. Guess what I've earned with the 600k account already? 30$..
I simply cannot believe it. Besides the fact that no brand is contacting me, I've send out 100+ Mails to brands that sell ads on IG. Some answered, 90% didnt even. For those that answered, my prices were to high, even though I thought theyre extremely fine and pretty low when you think about it ($60 for 6 hours on a 600k)
The fun part is.. All of those brands are buying ads from other accounts, with fake followers, or low engagment. I'm getting 60 Mio+ weekly impressions, around 50k likes per picture and 100k+ video views..
I simply cannot understand it. Are there just cheap ass brands, that doesnt pay well? Or is it the certain page, because the others (80k-150k) did "ok" with shouts/ads? Besides that, this isnt even the point I'm caring about..
What I'm thinking about is that Instagram somehow appears to be a waste of time. I spend around 10 hours a day on instagram. There is no weekend, there are no days off. And after that, do you think the money is flying in? (And yes I was thinking the same) No It's not!
After you've hit a certain point, there's still a shitload of work to earn the first cash. Contact brands that dont answer, get lowballing prices from companies, build up your shop/brand and realize that the traffic from your pages is just poor and not converting.. Is this work really worth it?
I'm writing this, because I see many people starting with IG and nobodys really stating the REAL facts and those are about the money (Or do we have people here that do IG for fun? lol). Everybody has those visions to become a millionaire with IG.
You know what? Most of the people from bhw that are doing IG are gaining 100 followers a day, doing follow/unfollow and stuff.. Seriously, what do you expect? Do you really think 3000 followers a month will get you somewhere? Come on..

Instagram completely penelized CPI or CPA. Shouts/ads is a pain in the arse. Using IG for traffic results in even more work and doesnt have to pay off, may be also effect the acc negatively. Those are the most common monetizing options for IG. Guess with which I've made the most? Right, with none of them! With selling IG accounts. Guess why? Because everybody has wrong visions about the earning ability of a big(ger) accounts, paying thousands of dollars for accounts, forgetting about the work they have to spend to get all that money back in. This just sums up all the happenings on IG.
What would a 500k account go for? 5k-10k$? Good luck with getting that money back in. Well, sorry, I forgot. It's extremely easy to earn a shitload of money with a big account.
Or maybe 500k isnt even big anymore these times.. Who knows.
