Depends on the video. You can get top comment with upvotes alone, but not on popular videos that have lots of comments with both upvotes and replies.

With that said, the reply text doesn't have to be anything special. Just spam replies with gibberish (can do multiple per account) is enough to get a comment ranked if it has upvotes.
