Ive no experience with that kinda thing, but US shared hosting company's ive worked with usually want the offending content removed asap especially when they know its a legit dmca claim. I think maybe you have been lucky upto now

I am an offshore hosting provider and believe me we have to face lot of heat because of DMCA complains as a customer it might be easy for you, but its not that easy for any hosting provider.

DMCA sucks a lot.
They remove all the ranked pages and do you know reporters are from mainly MPAA

Filed a DMCA claim not long ago.

Got totally ignored by the host, who is well known as being a good hosting provider for ignoring all such complaints. I'll mention no names.. So I had to cancel the contract permanently for the offending domain. Had their whole domain removed - Suspended.
