Hello!

Just starting there and i want to register a domain with average metrics, better than starting from scratch, but i dont know how to check if the domain is blacklisted by google or not.

How do i know if a domain is banned by google?

Thanks :P!

Not sure how old the domain is since being active, but if you do a simple search in Google with site:domain (without http) then if it shows some pages indexed, that's good sign.

Its not indexed but it has been parked since 2012..

site:domain.com - it will show pages in the site
info:domain.com - it site is alive but not indexed by google means serp will not show your site results.
domain com (domain(space)com) -- If you site penalized by google it won't appear on serp.

These three will help to know the website status with out any tools

So much bullshit in one thread.

@Neoterz - Yeh, checking GWT is sure going to help him when he doesn't have a domain registered.
@mangoodi - Domain has been parked since 2012. Such domains will RARELY be indexed. What you gave him is a guide how to check if the domain is indexed, not penalized.
@Bloggeradamsmith - Not true at all.

OP send me the domain for checking and I will take a background look for you. If the domain will be crap, I will send you one of my own list for free, since it's Christmas. :) If you can't send PMs yet, send me an email to nargil13(at)gmail(dot)com.

You can check for some issues in GWT. Also, one of the reasons that the domain will be banned if backlink profile was spammed and the history of the domain in archive.org was previously abused. So make sure to check those before you purchase the domain.

How much is the domain?

If not much, then buy it. Recover some content from archive.org, put a site up. Index it using GWT. The next day see if site: or inurl: returns anything. If it does, the domain is not hand penalized. If it doesn't give it a few more days(if not using GWT give it weeks or months). From there it's experimentation time.
