yeah would be nice for sure if anyone knows of a hosting that allows 1 min cron jobs. I had my running with hostgator and I had to shut it down. So I basically can't use FG right now cause I can't find a server that allows 1 min cron jobs. :/
I'm also realllllly interested in this, but like others am waiting to see if hosting issues get taken care of first.
For those that already have it, does it bring in traffic to your forums?
In other words do people instantly start posting in your forums not knowing the content is generated by FG.
How good is the content it's posting in the forums?
Are posts relevant to threads?
Thanks
Mike

Olden, so now that hostgator is messing things up by limiting the crons job on our forums, what host do you recommend that we use?
I'm excited to announce that earlier this week we finished negotiating a sizable discount on hosting that will absolutely support FG. The hosting provider is a well-known and very well-respected member of BlackHatWorld. Expect an update here and an email announcement to all customers early next week.yeah would be nice for sure if anyone knows of a hosting that allows 1 min cron jobs. I think of Forum Generator like a power tool with interchangeable tips. If I'm trying to develop a new site, I use it as a content generator to keep the spiders coming back for more and to make users feel more comfortable about signing up. Users are much more likely to sign-up to a site if they see active users and recent posts. That is just one use, though.I'm usually one that catches on very fast as to how to use various tools effectively, but I'm not "getting it" on this one.
Can someone explain how I can use this to promote my money site? Let's say I have a "Toaster" review site that is loaded with Ebay Aff ads. Can I create a forum (or two) as an element in a link wheel and promote the snot out of the main site? Maybe put banners to my money site prominently throughout the forum...maybe rotated 50/50 between promoting the money site and Adsnese banners?
The part I'm really interested is how can this tool be used to funnel link juice to the money site? Or is that not the objective of the tool?
I'm sure I'm just missing one piece of the puzzle and it will all become clear for me once someone hands me the missing piece.
Not as far as I know.Has anyone been DeIndexed by GOOGLE, or other search engines for using Forum Generator????
Thanks
Replies to threads would only come at 15 minute intervals and much less randomly.Hi -
I understand from prev. posts that anything more than a 1 min cron job doesnt work properly. Can you elaborate on what would happen if we set the cron job to 15 mins? Just want to understand the mechanics of this.
Thanks,
Michael
Email support with your PayPal email address and they'll take care of you. You're also due for an update!I had purchased this script several months ago... and honestly have not had the opportunity to deploy it.
But now, I cannot find it where I saved the script.
Can you send me a PM as to where to download it?
I can provide my PayPal email credentials, etc if needed.
Thanks!

We're implementing a user drip feature into the next update. We're hoping to have a publicly-available beta of this update within the next 2 weeks. There are going to be a ton of changes being made, so stay tuned. Upgrades are free for customers.Im a new user of FG as well and I've notice that all users "have the same join date" which make the conversations (postings) look fake, as in any forum all the users havent join the same date.
Are you looking into changing this in near upgrades? I don't think it would be difficult to create a script modification that will change users join dates to make it look more realistic. If so when do you think an update will be available?
In the mean time, do you know of any third party scripts or add-ons or how I can manualy change the user join dates in a phpbb3 forum?
Thanks
Check your PM's, webgrafix. Can you pls post the support email addy.
Thanks!
When it goes public, yes, but we've already selected the beta team on the support site.I am also a customer, can I be the beta tester ?
