I want to start building email lists with IG and I have just one question:
if I link to a landing page just to collect email leads with a strong call to action, without any content locker or stuff like that, will it risk to cause a ban? or is it safer than doing CPA (pre lander > content locked landing).

What's your experience?

I know... I have my landing page with opt-in form, and I use Sendy on my own server + Amazon SES to send email, much cheaper for huge lists.

link on instagram=ban no matter cpa or anything

LOL well obviously this ^ is complete bs.

No you won't get banned if you add a link with an opt-in page. I have this on my pages and I have had 0 problems collecting emails.

I am interested in your Sendy + Amazon setup. How much does this cost you?

Lol.... billions and billions of user banned! This is the most untrue thing you can say. :D

Sendy is $59 (one time fee) https://sendy.co/
And you will need a very good hosting or a VPS where to install it
While Amazon SES is $0.0001 per email sent. So sending 1.000.000 emails in one month will cost you $100.

Amazon SES is a weird beast to work with. You start with a very low sending rate after you verify your account (14 emails/sec and 50.000 emails per day), but after sending a couple of campaigns, if you manage to keep your bounce and complaint rate very low (someone say <5%), you can ask for progressive increases. So your list should be legit and not too spammy ;)

No you won't. As long as you company with their polices, you should be golden.

Thanks mate. Wish you all the best with your Instagram journey. PM me if you get stuck.

I'm glad you found my info useful ;)

I read a few bad reviews from people saying that their messages get sent to SPAM a lot when using Amazon SES. What is your take on this?

Mmm, I'm not sure. I also have read a lot of different opinion. I think it depends a lot if you add the amazon DKIM verification records in your domain DNS, and, of course, on the subject and content of your emails.
