Hi Boys, I'll try to be brief but provide some detail.

I've been posting in the CL housing section for 2+years. I can easily make 100 a day on one of those Apt for rent methods you are all well aware of.

I've decided to take to off my black hat and go white (maybe a little gray too). Don't ask why, it's a moral issue I'm having with this black hat tactic so don't judge me.

I've got 178 somewhat unique campaigns that I'd like to continue to "monetize in some way"

I have several hundred gmails set up, an autoresponder set up and the tools to post at least 100 ads a day. I use Troopal and IP Green.

I'd like to turn it over to someone but I'd maintain the posting portion. This could turn into a JV, paid posting or some other mutually beneficial arrangement.

Would be a great opportunity for a noob that does not want to hassle with all the start up crap on CL . Or it maybe worthwhile to a seasoned vet to make some passive income.

I'm willing to do a little freebie test of this with a "trusted member" or mod on this forum to enhance my credibility since I'm not well known here.

I can honestly say that I have posted 30 ads in big cities on a Monday and made over $200 in a day. Those of you who practice this method, you know that $200 not unreasonable but it is risky.

I'll all ears so fire away if anyone is interested. I could literally flip the switch tonight. I have 91 ads waiting to be published in the que and my autoresponder is on pause now.

BB

I should add If you do not have at least 2 CPA accts this is not for you.

All PMs have been answered. I'm off line for the next 4 -5 hours.

Hello, I've sent you a pm since I'm not in the housing section yet.

But $200? Isn't that a little low for 30 ads.
We could do better! :)

Quick question. I stopped doing what I think you're doing (free credit reports?) because I thought I might get banned from a network after the advertiser analyzed the leads after a couple of months. Have you ever been banned with this method, or is this not a method of fraud?

I wouldn't say free credit report. She/He might be pushing credit report offers.

But you can always join directly with the credit report provider if they don't care about your traffic method.
And there are some.

What credit report companies would not care about how you drive traffic? And if you contacted them, what are you going to tell them? "I create apartment ads on Craigslist and get people to sign up for the credit reports before they can come see the apartments."

Like Credit Report Companies that were created by BHW members :D
And yeah, tell them exactly what you do, just don't give out the method. :p

I with there were such thing ^^^^

your wish has come true

Dude just contact credit report companies and see if they are okay with your traffic. It is the absalute best way to do it.
Stop being so lazy, if its the cpa networks that aren't okay with it. Then fix that problem and contact the credit report companies.
Your AM might be okay with it though.

So what companies are cool with it? Or are you speaking from no experience and just thinking this is an ideal way of doing things?

I'm speaking from experience lazyentrepreneur.
Speak through pm please. We are invading a thread kinda.

Yeah, but if an advertiser is having a phone call with one of the marks about cancelling a trial and they say they signed up after responding to a craigslist ad, something won't add up if they hear this a ton of times yet the network sees your traffic coming from the spoof blog.

I guess people just hope that the AM won't hear that too much times lol
Plus, use several networks, not only one

I also assume this is through pushing credit reports... I have always had a question regarding this method...

I would be willing to osay this method is unethical, and certainly black hat... But is it also illegal? I mean, is it illegal to fake having housing to try to get a customer to sign up for a report? I understand some AM and networks will say its against their TOS, but is it illegal, could someone face criminal persecution for this?

No, not that far.
The networks don't like CL traffic, so the most it can happen is you being banned from it.

This is blackhat, and not of the worse kind lol Just one of many techniques

Thanks, I have just always een concerned with some of the CL methods. I thought maybe someone somewhere can pull you on false advertising and either press charges or sue you in litigation.

But now that I think about it, no one is selling anything, no one is really ripping anyone off. They are just misleading them into signing up to a third party site for something. Thanks again.

Wow - nice discussion points on this. In my original post I did mention BLACK HAT. I'm not trying to fool anyone here.

The bottom line is that I don't have anything magical here - it's a technique used by many in housing, for sale and jobs to name a few. I believe my campaigns may have residual value to me. Based on the number of PMs, - a lot of people seem to agree or are a least fishing for info. I'm trying to establish a win win situation so you get paid and I make money "helping".

Ask yourself this, are many of the CPA offers that the CPAs push not gray or black hat themselves. Try to fill out the email or zip offers for a 250 gift card. You get stuck in an endless loop of surveys and offers. Do you ever get the 250? You'd end up spending 260 on a bunch of bullshit products and services to get there.

Why does free credit report dot com advertise that idiot singing on TV? Because people are stupid. The mighty US gov't legally entitles people to one free credit report per year by law. Hell, the disclaimer is right on the top of the CL rentals pages and a link right to it. People are too lazy to read.

OK - that's my position on the matter.

If you are reading this thread you most likely are not selling grandmas old tiaras on CL.

Step back and think about what black hat really is.
