if i turn monetization off, buy about 10k-50k views for these 2 videos, depending on how expensive it is. and then reactivate the monetization, after the views have come in. is it possible that youtube will ban my adsense account, for illegal activities on these videos, even though i had monetization off while i boosted them?

Sorry but we don't have country targeted views as of now as these views cause problems but to answer your question nope your adsense won't get banned if you bought views. You only get banned if you are uploading cheats, hacks, tv shows and other copyrighted videos.

To answer your question, you need a lot of engagement to your video to get the 1st page as if the niche is football you need to make a test for this as each niche/keywords has different level of competition.
