Dear Registrant of (my website):
On behalf of Snapchat, Inc. (“Snapchat”), we are writing to you in your capacity as the registrant of (my website). Among other things, Snapchat publishes and distributes the photo messaging app called “Snapchat.” The “Snapchat” app is widely used on various platforms, and is available to users through such portals as Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play marketplace. Through its marketing efforts and commercial success, among other ways, Snapchat has developed valuable trademark rights in the SNAPCHAT mark, which is immediately identified by consumers with Snapchat’s reputation for quality. Snapchat owns numerous United States federal trademark registrations and pending applications for the SNAPCHAT mark, including without limitation Trademark Registration No. 4,375,712 and 4,933,187, and Trademark Application Serial Nos. 86/619,190, 86/619,184, and 86/335,307. Based on the foregoing rights, it is a violation of federal and state law for others to advertise, utilize, offer for sale, and/or engage in services in connection with the SNAPCHAT mark without the express written permission of Snapchat.
Nonetheless, it has come to our attention that you are operating a website that purports to offer users a tool to hack Snapchat accounts. This purported hacking tool is being promoted and offered using the SNAPCHAT mark at (my website). Such use of the SNAPCHAT name in offering and promoting your website and purported hacking tool is identical and confusingly similar to Snapchat’s use of its SNAPCHAT mark. As a result, users are likely to believe, erroneously, that the website is published, sponsored, endorsed by, or associated with Snapchat, and the SNAPCHAT mark is likely to be diluted and tarnished.
Your conduct is of the utmost concern to Snapchat. Snapchat contends that your use and exploitation of the SNAPCHAT mark or confusingly similar variations thereof constitutes trademark infringement, trademark dilution, false advertisement and/or unfair competition in violation of federal and state law. Snapchat considers your conduct to constitute a violation of its rights and to be damaging to its business and reputation. You are hereby put on notice that you may be subject to civil damages and injunctive relief arising from your unlawful conduct.
Snapchat hereby demands that you and all those who have acted in concert with you immediately comply with the following:
1. Cease all activity that is likely to confuse consumers as to Snapchat’s association with, or sponsorship of, your services, including use of the SNAPCHAT name; and
2. Transfer the (my website)domain name to Snapchat.
We anticipate that you will accede to these demands and ask that you reply to this email to discuss and confirm details of the discontinuation of use and transfer to Snapchat of the subject domain name. If we do not receive your expeditious response, this matter will be escalated for further action.
Nothing contained in this letter constitutes an express or implied waiver of any rights, remedies, or defenses of Snapchat, all of which are expressly reserved.
Sincerely,
Caroline (Carrie) Barbee

I got this today and replied asking if it was real. That was couple hours ago. I replied and now my PC is running slow seems to be a problem with the my internet but I have never once had a issue with it being slow. I am concerned that when I replied this gave the hacker my IP or did something else. Any info would help my anxiety right now.
