Monetizing personal account

Hi guys,

i'm running an personal account, for some niches it's pretty obvious how to monetize them, like luxury for example. But how do you guys monetize a personal account. My account is still kinda small with a community of ~50k followers. Very rarely i get mails from companies mostly fashion or fitness supplements which send me stuff for free so i give them a shoutout, which is nice but doesn't happen very often. Most of the collabs i got from mailing them by myself and ask if they are interested, but i dont see a good rate, most of them dont reply at all. Do you have any other ideas, or do you know some companies that collaborate very often with 50k accounts. By the way i'm male, i don't know if that makes it harder to find companies.

The only wrong thing you're doing mate is that you're waiting for money, do not wait, start searching for it.

personal, not really a niche, i don't know, so far i got fitness products, designer clothing, bracelets, sunglasses, so i'd say fashion/fitness (not much fitness content tho).

i tried to be proactive and contact a lot of companies, maybe i'm contacting the wrong ones tho, add emails ? Where and how would that happen, any risks?

perhaps you need to define your niche more, or do you fall under the 'social influencer' , 'Instagram personality'? either way there is a lot of competition. you have to chase any and all companies to sell their products, you could also try selling your own merchandise or start a website/youtube channel.

without knowing the IG its hard to to gouge but there are definitely options out there to make some income

That's probably the best definition, Instagram personality. My posts have an average of about 5k likes, which i think is decent. I just checked "shoutcart" the influencers in my follower segment seem very trashy

i don't really like the idea of my own merchandise, i dont think that would work, but thank you for your input

it all depends on the account really some work really well with merch


i cant say this is something you will have to experiment with yourself and see what people are willing to say. . i personally dont do shoutouts since its just too much of a hassle, my advice is to team up with a company to promote something and get affilate sales. shoutouts aren't steady income or none at all.

and again it depends on the niche. Cause in 1 niche from 1000 users you will get 6% conversion, while in another you will see 0%

Are there any common known companies that collaborated alot with social accounts? I know from Hanz de Fuko, fitnessguru, triangle, daniel wellington and stuff, do you guys know more?

my audience is 30% male 70% women teenagers/young adults. Wouldn't that be weird coming from a guy (talking about credibility)
