Hello,
Does anyone do ecommerce using instagram or twitter?
If i was to start an online store for whatever, clothing or something like that, how much instagram traffic would be good to start the store and actually get sales (followers, like per pictures)?
Thank you for your help.

You will need a website. Then you can drive traffic from IG and Twitter.
Thanks

Read about dropshipping here and outside here.

Read in blog about this in shopify, oberlo, etc, put in Google "best ecommerce blog"

Put in Google "ecommerce with shopify" or "dropshiping"

As I say above, you can find in all this site a lot information about social media + ecommerce.

Good luck.

Oh, thank you mate.

Don't expect sales until you have 1,000+ followers but it might happen sooner. 1,000 followers is really easy to reach anyways. Once you keep going higher up to 10k+ you should see alot of sales, but also depends on how good your marketing is.

I have like 15k followers, and get like 400 likes per posts, If marketing is decent you think I get sales with Instagram?

I would say so but it depends on the website itself, but you should be able to at least send a few hits.

Well I have around 5k IG followers right now and a shopify store. I get between 20-30 visitors a day but I have a sale for 100-150+ visitors. (Which sucks)

I think my products just suck because I copied them from my competition. I would say it's all about the product. If your product is a 10/10 and your audience is passionate about it will sell even if you website is shit.

Are you guys starting accounts for your store or are your accounts in the same niche as your store?

Thank you for your help, very helpful stats there, so I know what to expect.

Dont expect to have good results with your 15k account.

1. You may only get a few views/day and even that just with a link in the bio
2. Without a link in the bio (24/7), you will only get traffic once you promote your store.
3. You will be able to make a good amount of money if your Store, niche, products, IG account is good and buy promotions from big accounts, but with your account your results will be around zero.

With my shop, I've had 3 accounts with an overall of like 450k followers promoting it and the results were way below my expectation. It's not as easy as it seems.

It highly depends on certain factors:

1. Relevance of the store to your IG niche (dont expect a ton of sales by promoting a pet store with a "funny quotes" IG)
2. Engagement of the IG account (you may have a ton of followers but barely anyone liking and commenting)
3. Your store itself (its not just throwing visitors at your store, the store also has to convert accordingly, its far from given that traffic alone will do the job)

a friend has made a ton of sales by running massplanner and IG, last i checked he had 1.2k followers and already clocked 600$ in sales. good luck m8

I have tried it in men fashion niche.
There is around 2k followers but no sale is generated.
it seems that it is hard to get sale from instagram.
