Dear BHW Administration,

Over the years, I have come to really respect what you guys do for the community and how you help people get around the overwhelming world of Internet Marketing.

As a seller, I am more than thankful to BHW for the platform they have provided me to showcase my skills.

However, I have an opinion about recent changes that has irked a lot of sellers here.

This is in reference to the immediate closing of our sales thread due to 'non-payment' of BHW fees.

First thing first, I don't have an issue paying the BHW fees. I have continuously adhered to the rules here and paid all the requested fees.

But, when you close our threads without any notice (like you did when all BHW threads were closed) or close it immediately when our Jr. VIP membership expires, it affects not only our business but our reputation in front of members who aren't shown the reason for closing the thread.

I would request BHW Mods & whosoever in charge to inform us a week or at least a few days prior to our membership/thread expiry and/or give us a grace period of 3-7 days to fulfil the payment before closing our thread.

I am sure the kind folks would listen to my request and continue improving the Great Blackhatworld Marketplace

Thank you

Best
-Prakhar

This was a one-off following the platform upgrade - any future renewals will set up an automatic renewal (which you can turn off in paypal if you want) so that you don't have to manage this.

Thread renewals from now on will have reminder PM's being sent out 7 days in advance so you'll have enough warning to get them renewed in time.

However, it's always been a rule that marketplace threads need to be run by Jr VIP's - we've manually shut down lots of threads where the membership expired. Likewise, thread renewal fees have been in place for several years with reminder PM's being sent out to sellers - many of these were ignored.

The only change we've made is that now it's being enforced and we've automated the process.

I don't know what your services are but it's reasonable, so I totally agree with you :)

Prakhar, I think it was just an automated process, that hit all threads that were over 12 months old, because if you look even the rules posts etc have all been locked.

If Apricot had done it manually she'd still be beavering away.

It would be nice if there was an automated reminder sent out maybe, both for sellers and renewing VIP membership, as the subscription option was cancelled.

I don't blame BHW for instantly rejecting the sales thread once they don't receive payment. That 3-7 day grace period is a period that a seller is profiting from being on the BHW website without any commission or fee paid out. I have a feeling your request will be heard. I don't think it is unreasonable to have those expectations. I think the biggest issue is if a seller no longer pays, has "disappeared" and BHW users are still paying for their services and not receiving a reply or service, causes the forum to get a bad name and causes users to lose money. This is a no win situation for BHW, even though they did a solid to the seller and provided and amazing platform to sell from, that in the end, if the user isn't happy with their experiences on the website, then users won't return. Anyways, I think your request is reasonable, not sure about the 3-7 day grace period after expiration, but the week prior to expiration contact is completely reasonable.

Thanks for reading, sorry too much coffee today :)

Yes, I know & it was fair for that instance.

Hence, I am posting when my thread was closed for expiration of Jr. VIP

We've been manually shutting down marketplace threads where the seller didn't renew Jr VIP for a while. The information's listed in the marketplace rules that you have to click to accept when you submit a sales thread for review.

@WizGizmo even made a thread warning people about it when he did a sweep last year and we've been manually closing threads reported for not being managed by a Jr VIP ever since.

If you weren't caught in the manual sweep, then you got more time than many sellers to renew your membership before we implemented the automated process.
