Unless you have a current events/news/sports blog, it does not really matter. More important is the frequency you get for your posts.

I think is more important scheduling social media posts than blog posts,

I spent about 2 weeks and posting all posts at different timing, then from there I figured out which day + timing would suit my audience best. For my own, usually tues to friday is the "quieter" days.

It depends upon the region (Geographic Location).
For my site, i will prefer mid weekdays. And best time is morning 10.00 to 12.00 PM.

View your analytics. This will reveal to you when most people visit your blog and then you'll know the best times to post in order to maximize your exposure to them. Also, why not ask your visitors this question by conducting a simple pole? Sometimes speaking directly with your visitors can reveal to you things that no analytics program could ever do.
