Got 2 links from OP. One on engadget and one on workingmother. After checking the page source of the link on engadget I can't see anywhere that it's a nofollow but according to Ahrefs it's a nofollow link. I think they have nofollowed the whole public contribution platform on engadget. The link from workingmother haven't been picked up yet either in WMT, Ahrefs or Majestic and it been live for a few weeks. Have seen Zero traffic from the articles to my website.

Thats my honest review. I had no problem whatsoever with takeaction I got what I ordered. Just wanted to share my experience.
