Shopify + Fb Ads

Hi guys,

after reading a number of post from blackhatworld and i started my 1st journey on news although it wasn't a success after that i'm giving it a try on this shopify + Fb ads which i have been reading for months and following a few project.

i have already setup my shopify and has around 20 product in place "manually list" currently on trial test for those product.

did had some view but currently at $0 sales

i'm currently planning to look for instagram shoutout and still on a look out and have send a few emails out to some instagram awaiting their reply while i work on fb ads!



hope to get some comment on my journey and as well some feedback on how i can work my marketing to do some more testing!

yup i did some research and found a crazy product which is trending but i do not know well on targeting part , i'm trying to work it out at the moment.

Hi , I watch a YouTube video and saw that he suggest a $5 trial on each product so I did that on 2 of my product 1 which shows no result and the other which is pending approval.

I'm using post per engagement for 1 and the other video view trying out to see if which works better.

i did 25$ on two posts and the results were this: 9900 people reach and 284 people engaged = 23 clicks to my store 7 added the product to the cart but didnt finish the checkout , i suggest doing a test buy from yourself to see if every thing is working (if u didnt already)

Hi was your a photo / gif?

Mine was video I did a $5 trial run my result is

751 reach
189 engagement
$9 spend

20 clicks to store , 0 add to cart.

I did a try with one of my product did have a success purchase.

no mine was just a photo and i think the link was buried inside a lot of text so people were clicking the image and not the link

Update!

Just spend another $15 on an instagram shoutout 24 hours

the person was in my niche and has a groups of follower 198k

hope there's some result!

One of the most terrible time.
$15 spend 10 clicks only..... Worse than Facebook ads looking back into Facebook ads while I find another one which is more suitable for me.

Trendy product, cost me 18$ to buy it and I'm selling it for 35 to 40$ ( depends of color ), it's dropshipping btw to avoid to have stocks.
I made a nice website, design is not so bad.
I've an instagram account, I use Instagress to get more followers but even if I've more and more followers I've no trafic from instagram. Link is in the bio and in every posts

I'm trying advertising on FB, 3 different ads with differents pictures etc

Global result with these FB ads :

15'000 views of the ads
193 Clicks
cost : 60€
0 conversions !
just 1 product added to cart...

People are sharing a lot and liking the post but not more, I can see that the product choice is good ( people are sharing it, likes etc )

I don't know what I should do ?
I'm good in seo and the keyword for this product is easy to rank but I never tried to rank shopify website. I also don't know if I should continue to invest in fb ads with these results or if I should keep this money for seo ?

Another pieces of update after I chat with one of the member here.

Here's my update , Total ad spend
Facebook ads $93
Instagram shoutout $15

Total sales $37.86
Profit margin : $18 after minusing cost only.

I realise my mistake on my Instagram shoutout , I was on trial when I did that shoutout so it end up my customer could not purchase I lost a lot sales on that day itself because shopify stated that I had 22 added to cart on that day itself.

What I have done in the past is find a product that is $1-10, sell for $10-$20.. $10-25 is the impulse buy sweet spot.

If you want it even easier, free+shipping method works magic.
Find product to dropship from aliexpress. (make sure shipping is free and can be sent as gift).
Offer product for free(+s&H)
Set your shipping fee to a healthy profit.
Customers get drawn in due to "free" and notice the product is coming from overseas, so the $10+ shipping isn't crazy.
Make sure to have a few products that have actual price tags, as to not draw the eye, and add a statement (in t&c or w/e) stating "All products offered 'free' are non-refundable", to protect your butt if product isn't great.

i have some viral tools on hand which alerts me when some item is trending on social media from funny video to all kinds of weird stuff i focus on product.
