Is there a way to hide backlinks from competition?

Today i was checking a site for it's backlinks on semrush, and I can only see 5 (4 of them no follow), and those are interlinks, except ONE i think. Is it possible to hide the backlinks from these kinds of tools?

I see there are ways to block the tool's bots, but I Guess you are never 100% secure that way, right?

Don't block, just present a different version to those you don't want to see the full page. It's called cloaking.

You can use htaccess to blog bots from accessing your website. That can be useful on a PBN. Make sure you don't block google... that's about it.

yes you can restring bot crawlers within htaccess (in domains that you alrdy own)

Only downside is that you won't have relevant metrics on your money site cause, your pbn wont pass juice - according to these sites (majestic, moz, ahref, etc)

No, as long as you don't block Google of course. And yes, there is no way to block your backlinks 100% from competitors even if you block all link crawling sites. Remember, anyone can search for your money site backlinks and find them with a simple google search especially if you use a lot of naked/URL anchors.

To block the bot you need control of the web site, meaning hes using a PBN...

Rather than block the SEO tools like most people do Jazz is saying cloak them, for example serve them a version of the page with your link removed so it can't see it and the link doesn't end up in their index.

It's fucking genius.

hi, you can allow only google bot and block any other bots (ahrefs, majestic etc)

Because someone i wanted to analyse is hiding them.


P.s: cloaking isnt cheap at all, especialy if u working with micro niches.

Cloaking this could be as simple as a .htaccess file and a php script.....
