Looking for a really in-depth link building guide that explains different tiers etc

Hi guys

I've been link building for a while, but have only learnt (basics) about tiers recently. I'm looking for a really in-depth but easy to follow guide, on here preferably that can fully explain all the advanced techniques.

There are literally 100's of guides, posts, strategies etc - some will be better than others I'm sure. Some may contain outdated information etc. It would be nice if someone had a recommendation, after all, that's what a community forum is all about isn't it?

Tier 2 links to tier 1
Tier 3 links to tier 2

No guide needed.

Save spam/crap content for tier 3, it is just to get 2 indexed, so it powers 1.

Tier 1 should be some nice quality, well written contextual links. Hell, I syndicate the crap out of my content as well, so that is something to consider.

The biggest thing to consider with any backlink strategy is the end goal of the project. You churn/burn or longer term?
Churn/burn= fire links, build tiers fast and heavy. don't worry too too much about high quality, you know it will be penalised eventually.
Long term= get higher quality links, less spammy. Guest posts are great. If you want to build out a PBN, make it look solid. Web 2s should be multi pages, built up nicely. Syndicate content and build relationships/conversations. Aim for multiple traffic sources.
