That email is probably one of the best thing a competitor could send you, trying to have things in a WIN-WIN situation for both of you.

Really professional. Wow! And you write for 1.5 cents per word. You forgot to cover that up in the last screenshot you put up.

Intentional or non-intentional? Whatever.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I personally think as there is no governing body in the field of internet marketing, it's entirely up to me to choose the pricing of my services. Plus by having an affordable rate I am actually helping out the new guys who are just starting out in the field of internet marketing.

Nothing angry about that email, on the contrary, I thought it was rather polite. You should count yourself lucky to have received some common sense advice from a competitor.

Why are you so scared of charging more? Do you view your service as a Hyundai or a Bentley?

1.5 cents per word? Where on Earth do you live?

Every response in this thread is for some reason just plain wrong to me...except for @Peter Ngo

This is perfect.. If i were OP.. I wouldn't even bother coming on BHW.. The responses here are not helping you in any way...

Ask him to F off.. and say you are reducing prices. If he is on Fiverr report him and block him..
I hate people like him who have the audacity to message like that..and this thread is full of retarded responses even after you posted the first 2 messages..

OP.. my 2 cents... Ignore everything here.. decrease prices temporarily and force him out of the market... Take his market share..Take everyone's marketshare.. increase prices back to 1.5 cents gradually..start a large company..
Dunno where you are from but a Pakistani doctor did something exactly like you did.. Hire 20 people or so and start an agency and convert speech to text transcription agency. That guy makes like 1.5 million a year in complete autopilot. I cant find link as of now but will try to find it.. You have a great idea..because in our part of the world labor cost is low.. Now edge everyone out of the market..decrease margins..improve volume and make a brand for yourself and take it to another level.

I for one..think OP is doing great. Great service as great rates. Good job mate ! :)

In our country, all mobile providers have an agreement to stop undercutting each other and set equal prices. I don't think they negotiated in the same way this guy did.

I actually agree with the man who wrote you this email. I do think that you are undercharging and when you do up your rates, you will get better customers. Why not have two packages? One for the cheapskates and another for the premium. In that way, you will then see which sells better and who are the better customers. Instead of insisting you are right, why not test the market?
 
This is exactly why I don't deal with cheap clients.
