Cant reach even top 100 with quality website

Hello everybody! I have problems promoting website about virtual reality (RU). Project got lots of organic links leading to inforgaphics etc, bought a couple quality links from mass media, relevant sites in niche. Site age - 7 months. All articles are interesting and unique. It gets about 40 visits from organic search.
The problem is i cant get even top 100 in my niche for the major keys, even throught competition is not as big. Can u give me any advice? It would helm me a lot. Can provide u site's url.

Hello anubarak. I am the SEO of 123movies. I have just joined this forum as we are successful in our project to conquer the entertainment niche.

If you are receiving 40 organic traffic, then it means that your page is indexed. But you are still no ranking in 100. It not mainly depends on ON page as it is a very easy thing.
But I think your overall site has some problem. Moreover, how can you say that your site has good links.

Moreover, I think that your links may not be build on a regular anchor text.
You may not be updating your site regularly or something else
Send me your website and keyword you want to rank for
But I don't think that On page is the factor.

The problem might be with on page, you have to check your on page optimization. Check the internal linking and try to reduce the loading time of your website. The content you add should have proper keywords stuffed in it. The content should be of 1500 words.

Its obviously onpage seo or you have a penalty from anchor text. Simple fix really. If its an easy keyword like you said, you shoulf easily rank top 100 with NO links

Its not realy easy. Competition is low but top sites are very authority, like 10 years site about technology with category in my nishe.

OP, BHW has a wealth of knowledge. If you think you're upset about not ranking in the top 100, imagine how you'd feel when the search engines de-index your site. People want you to add them on Skype when they're looking to take your money and leave you in a very bad place.

Just spend some time reading through BHW, and don't allow the "gurus" to get you penalized.

The niche you are working on is bang on. If I were you, I would start from scratch to understand where the things are wrong.

Starting from,

Keywords - Analyse and work on the keywords that you feel is necessary for the website. As you pointed out being low in competition at this point, you shall be on top in no time.

Website Blog - Fresh Content

Social Media Profiles - As you've pointed out visitor count, try enhancing them by adding fresh content and sharing them over social media.

Real Guest Post - Considering the niche and the Virtual Reality theme the website carries around, I'm sure of major tech blogs (Guest Blogs, reputed ones) consider taking an article from you. This will drive you few more real healthy and much needed traffic.

I would analyze where these works take me for the SERP across time and then get down to the next plan.

Check your on-page SEO working properly. Try to getting the quality backlinks from the good authority sites which are based on your site niche will help you a lot. Also, update your blog regularly.

Do you track your SERP with SerpBook or so?
If not do this to understand every change you make.
And do a lot of link building in all niche related directories and stuff like that, as first step.
Don't trap into spam traps. Do it manually and safe.

Do you have any uncloaked affiliate links in your site? I made that mistake and I went from first page to obscurity.
