Has anyone seen rank increases from this yet? ;)

Sweet guys! glad i bumped this post a while back. Let me know how it all goes post ranking updates if possible?

Got my app up! Thanks for the tut GC I appreciate your contribution. I was having issues in the beginning because I didn't know my stupid mac was causing the file not to get processed by chrome.

it doesnt work. I can't get the instruction. why there are so many gaps?
4. Change the red parts to whatever you need. If you'd want to build a Chrome app that launches the BBC homepage, you could write BBC launcher under "name" and put under "url"s and "web_url". In our example case we would write:
When I change it , then I add a folder with icon.png and manifest.json to zip, and then try to upload I got error -

An error occurred:
Failed to process your item.

The 128x128 icon file is missing.
thats it

Another question, I do published the app, everything as you said. But I can't find it through search bar. I type in my app name - and there is no my app. (app is published) does it need some time to apear or I made a mistake again?

I am not sure give it a few hours?

Thank you.

Appreciate the time you took to compile this method. Submitted my site. Took the time to create all the images and write good content for the listing. Hope to see more "gems" like this in the future.

I have a .com.au domain and keep getting errors when trying to upload the zip file. Are AU domains not allowed? I get this error message:

An error occurred: Failed to process your item.

manifest.json:13:0: unterminated string.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks

manifest.json:13:0: unterminated string.

There are a number of things that can cause "unterminated string." One common issue is trailing commas.

I added my site a few days ago. Here is the json I used. I replaced the title, description and site urls only in the example below and is what I added to the .zip file when submitting:

Code:
{
"manifest_version": 2,
"name": "My Keyword Name",
"description": "My short description here.",
"short_name": "My Keyword Name: My short description here.",
"version": "1.0",
"icons": {
"128": "128.png"
},
"app": {
"urls": [
"http://www.mygreatsitehere.com.au"
],
"launch": {
"web_url": "http://www.mygreatsitehere.com.au"
}
},
"permissions": [
"unlimitedStorage",
"notifications"
]
}

Try that and replace the generic code and url with yours.

Hello,
I discovered your thread only yesterday night and I was excited to apply it. It's done and the result is awesone. I took time to prepare the images, the screenshot and the description. My App is online with the links to my authority site. So now my page is DA100/PA1. I bookmark it on some properties I own and in one week I will push 10 contextual d******w web wiki links (with high DA). In the past the contextual wiki links help me a lot to increase the PA of web 2.0 properties.

If I check the other App in the Chrome Store, those with 10 to 300 backlinks can have DA100/PA43 to DA100/PA51... This is what I want to achieve :)

Thanks a lot for your trick, if you have other tutorials for similar easy app to setup...
