Getting nowhere with YouTube videos and views

I am getting very frustrated. All this information online about making money with YouTube what it amounts to is a waste of time. Nobody watches them unless you buy views. How can it take off? What tricks can be done to make the video go viral?

It shouldn't be this difficult should it? I mean what if one was to copy a most watched viral video, re-uploaded it, with the same tags, shouldn't get at least a 1000 views? What do I need to do to get views?

And I am stuck on the whole tweetadder thing because it doesn't exist anymore. And also stuck because TweetAttack Pro is not free and its expensive. So wtf are we to do?

Have you tried promoting your videos by submitting them to sites like reddit, sharing them on facebook, and linking to them on Q/A sites?

I've tried fiverr. Haven't tried reddit or qa sites though. Not sure how to go about and doing it. And since I am trying to make money, I wouldn't involve my personal FB account for this.

How do I promote it with social media? I said I wouldn't use FB account, because I have none! There is always this assumption made that everyone uses facebook and has tons of friends and uses twitter and has tons of followers. I don't have any of those. But if I can create a fake account and put people I don't know. Will that work?

If you just make some social media accounts and connect it to your youtube channel. i think it will get some initial boost. Though you are right more followers will give more authority but still it is useful
