wierd drop in serps

hello,
As it can be seen on the picture. It is a blog post which was raning pretty well until recently. No unnatural link building at all (just a couple of forum entries for this particular url). What is important:
1. this KW is for the product name and it is not displayed by google at all (this position 120 shows my homepage)
2. this url still ranks position 1-2 for long tail eg. product name + price

Any idea why does this happen? this is my first seo project therefore I am not familiar with how it usually works. No other such big drops in serps for other urls

Keywords usually drop like that due to a penalty but its hard to say in your case.

Did you change anything on the page? or something else on the site that might affect the page?

No changes at all. I can't see a reason why it would be penalized. I have been using very natural link building (at least I quess haha - a couple of pbns, high quality directories, forum entries, profiles and forum entries) but mainly for other urls of this website.

Anyhow, if there was a penalty, shouldn't it be displayed at all? because like I said it still ranks for long tail

Could be your anchor text ratios.

This is strange.

You can add it to google webmaster tools and it might show if you have a penalty.

The decrease has been for 3 days so far. Only 6 backlinks for this url (all naked url anchors). No messages in gwt.

I really am hoping it gets back on the top however does it ever happen and is it normal or there must have been a reason it decreased?

Keywords dancing up and down is normal. Big sudden drops are not.

Since Penguin 4.0 Google targets individual pages more so im thinking its that but you said the page still ranks for other keywords.

Give it more time, see what happens.

Ok but still why wouldn't they display it for the main KW? competiton is low, content is longer than the competitors' and I have been careful with link building.

Wtf do they think over there in google....... bastards

I'd give it a couple more days. I've had a couple big keywords bounce for a few days then come back. If it's not back in a few days then there is a problem.
