w3 total cache plugin: Helps with minify, gzip compression etc. Although I would look up gzip compression and your webhost name, as they will probably have tutorial on it.
Autoptomize is another plug in, speed booster pack as well. Different themes yield different results with these plugins.

Basically, if you just click on "show how to fix" you'll get some answers to point you in the right direction. It will take a bit of research (watch a couple of YT videos and maybe an article or two) but it's not hard.

GTmetrix is also a good site that breaks down problem areas. It will also tell you the actual load time. Don't try to get 100-score on these sites, they're only guidelines. Just get your load times down, and decent high scores and you'll be fine.
