Apache is Making me Want to Throw my Computer Out the Window, Please Help.

Hi BHW...

So Apache 2.4 is being a complete jerk, and not allowing non-localhost traffic under any circumstances, no matter what I do. I've tried everything under the sun and nothing is doing any good whatsoever.

I have 2 configurations of Apache, one that's working perfectly fine and another that isn't. I want to make the one that isn't working work like the one that is working. The one that isn't working isn't allowing any non-localhost traffic yet came installed with wamp which I'm trying to leverage, and the one that is working is an independent install that I've configured to allow all traffic. Configuring the wamp Apache in a way that seems to me to be exactly the same is still not allowing any non-localhost traffic through

What do you mean dosent accept non-localhost traffic ?

What is the error page ? And did you look at the iptables ? Opened port 80 ?

You have to set Listen to the correct IP and Port

Search for "Listen 12.34.56.78:80" and replace with your router's IP

Search for "ServerName" and do the same:

So, just to confirm, you have your installation inside of C:/root that is working correctly (independent) and it allows you to access for example from other PCs in your network or remotely, right? Other one inside of c:/wamp/www folder does not work correctly and does not allow? So the one in WAMP folder is causing the issues? Is this correct?

Ok, while waiting, there is a button on WAMP saying "Put Online" that will sort things out for you.

What it does actually is part where it says:

# onlineoffline tag - don't remove​

Turns (this is when access is granted):

Require all granted​

To (this is when access is allowed only local)

Require local​

Sure thing, while you are on to that, just try and add under this line:
# onlineoffline tag - don't remove
This statement:

Require all granted​

Restart wamp (or just apache) and try again (or find a Put online button on WAMP), it should be there. This is if I've got right what you are trying to achieve.

FINALLY Figured it out.

There's a vhosts file that needs to be edited to allow non-localhost access that wasn't in the documentation of wamp or apache, along with the main file, the firewall rule, the proper AWS zone configuration, the proper port binding, the proper server name, the proper interface, and the hidden menu that pops up a button program-level which says "go online".

10/10, super secure, especially when I have to do 20 things to get it to allow any traffic other than me. :/

Thanks so much for your help guys. Never use Wamp, it's garbage.
