Does anyone have any tips or pdf etc on how to setup a bb forum so its seo friendly , any plugins that will help etc...
I have never used it before so a tuturial would be great ...
 
I'm running into a problem with disk usage. I have fg installed on a dedicated server with 200 MB of space. I'm getting a message that states this account has used 82.64% (165.29 Megs) of its allocated disk space.

Is this normal and should I assign more space to this domain? Or is there something wrong with my installation?

I've tried going to Blackhatzens support forum but the site is down for me.

Any ideas?
 
I can not access the forum support either, i am having a problem with the script not running.
Even tried running it manually and still will not gather posts , threads etc...

sent a email off this morning to them but no reply.

also keyword tool comes back with 0 results no matter what i put into it
 
I've been unable to access their forum for a few hours. This script is exactly what it says, it generates forums. Nice ones that have relevant content and conversations. I've been watching Google, Yahoo, and even Cuil! spidering through my 2 day old forums like mad.

We'll see if I can drive any useful traffic from these sites now.

We've been experiencing a pretty hefty DDoS attack on our web and mail server. We've been working all day to block it. The servers should be up now for the foreseeable future. When the mail queue is processed again, we'll be able to respond to support questions. Support forums should be back up and normal.

Yes, you'll want to assign a lot more space to the domain. A base phpBB installation from cPanel is about 65mb by itself.

We'll get to your support question in the order we received it. Unfortunately, there is still backlog from the weekend. We weren't anticipating a day-long DDoS.

We haven't tested with the newest version, but were able to get it installed and working before, yes. If you do decide to install it, you'll want to make sure that you follow the phpBB SEO instructions closely, because there are lots of small things you have to do to make it work properly and we don't offer phpBB support.

Some people believe it helps a lot. We don't necessarily agree, but it also won't hurt your chances of getting better rankings, so it might be worth a try. The only downside is the time you may have to put into getting it up and running. If you're able to follow the directions, you'll be just fine.
 
The support team got back to me via email as well as in this forum and I increased the space for the domain. It's been working great for me. No problems with installation and running it.

I received a note from Hostgator about my one-minute cron job. They limit cron jobs to 15-minute intervals on shared hosting accounts.

I'd suggest using a different host.
