For some reason 1and1 are missing a lot of countries when you try and check out and input your country. Including mine :S
When choosing another country I can't get past the phone number, it keeps saying that it's invalid, even if I use existing number from a person living in the country I have chosen. Broken af

Godaddy is hiding costs in case you're all wondering. They're advertising .99 .coms but you have to buy two years. So, it's more like $6/year with a requirement that you purchase two years. The only one that's cheap is a .xyz.

Forget godaddy and other mediocre registrars that have been mentioned. If you're looking for a long term location to host your domain names, go with NameSilo. I've registered a few hundred domains with them over the past handful of years and have been nothing but pleased. Less than $9 for a .com registration/renewal and they also have a discount program which is great for those who manage a lot of domains. Check them out, thank me later.

I haven't bought a domain from Godaddy since before Summer. I've been using Namecheap.

So, you have used godaddy before summer. I clearly said only for new customers. (=new godaddy account & new credit card)

yah.. im too using Namecheap these days.
