Best Source of Proxies

What do you use the following proxies for:
1. Public
2. Elite
3. Sock
What advantages and disadvantages each proxy has?

Public/Elite/Socks don't really mean 3 completely different things.

Public just means what it always means.
Elite is just a made up descriptor.
Socks are the bigger better cousin of HTTP.

It's not an either/or situation.

I can only speak to your questioin about CL. I use paid, private proxies to post but also use pva's.

I was given VIP membership for some time their, seen those posts tried some of them but no luck to post on CL. Admin. is a member of BHW and most probably all of his ranges are blacklisted because all are being used to scan by other also.

Search here on BHW for paid private proxies. This is best for posting on CL. I personally use bpaw's service. Remember, It takes money to make money.

Only used freebies there, but not shure about the lifespan, i just tried them a few times..

What do you think of vip72.c0m? Seems a lot of people use their service, but what is a shady payment method they have. Do you have any experience with them?

Personally, I've found the best way is to Google lists and lists of proxies as have been suggested above then run them through a bot that does a fake SSL + POST request and check the response. This will filter the non-working ones, but also the useless ones like CoDeeN. It has worked pretty well for me so far. Log time to get the response and use a MaxMind DB for the country, all in a MySQL database. Then set this up in a cron and all the proxies you have should stay good. You need to update the lists every day or so as they do die quickly.

I've had good luck with PacketFlip. The guy who runs it is a member here.

$2/mo each. I have 25 and haven't had any issues with them. Several C blocks mixed in, usually very fast (which I love) and no problems with group blocks so far.

I don't beat the hell out of them though, so if you're planning on really pounding them, you might want a test run or talk to him to see how they react.
