Depends on whether or not your server meets the requirements. It depends on what those keywords are, but if you only have long tails and set keyword matching to strict, you probably won't get many posts.

Hey, I like what I have read and had SiRRuS speak highly of the program. I am interested but need to have a couple questions answered because I have a couple offline businesses that I am interested in using this product for.

1. Is it better for my rankings to put this on an established domain or is it better it build this on a new domain?

2. I am not very tech savy so is this something that really is as easy as I am being told.

3. Can I use regular hosting that provides a cpanel and fantastico and is there any other tools I will need to use or invest in for this to work at its best?

4. This I plan on being a real forum thats only reason for being there is to get my real websites ranking higher than they already are, we all know you have to be on page 1 above the fold and right now I am on page 1 below the fold and page 2 on my main site so I am looking for the best tools to push my sites higher.

Sorry if these questions were answered but after going through a few pages I thought the easiest way was this way there are 17 pages to this post WOW (makes it tough to find the answers to a few questions).
 
1. As with everything its better for rankings on an already established domain this would be the same with a blog, or anything site related, obviously a higher ranked, or already existing domain would get indexed and rank higher than a fresh new domain

2. If you can install phpbb (most hosts offer it as a one click install these days) you can install this with a case of UPLOADING and entering your forum admin username and pass, it will already detect the install dir of forum generator automatically and its a case of answering a few simple (newb friendly) questions.

3. As what you listed thats all you need to run this software. And to automate its posting you need to know simple cron, this is step by step on the install procedure so you WONT get stuck

4. This is fine if your using this for a starter boost to make your forum look popular to real people it works, just pick the best keywords to scrape the content and nobody will ever tell the difference.

I bought this product about a week ago - and I have to say all in all, it is an excellent script/program. I have set up one as a test, on a new domain, and already have the index page for the forum indexed in google. Overall, the install was simple and straightforward, and it has worked pretty much flawlessly.

One thing I did notice that may give away that this is a "loaded" forum is the dates that are showing for the postings. Initially when setting up and running - all posts and replies show the same date - the date of the setup. This changes somewhat during the course of several days, of course....but, I was wondering if this might be a giveaway to people coming to the forum, or even possibly to the SE's in some way as they come and spider the site. Is there a way to post fake dates, along with the fake posts, to make them look more legit?

Thanks for your purchase and for the kind words about the product.

I believe what you're seeing is the join date, the actual post date is accurate. If you've got a link that shows something to the contrary, we'd love to see it. Feel free to email support@ or PM me directly on here. In an update we're going to begin testing this week, we have a user drip function built-in which will obscure the join date a bit more.
 
well my server is a FreeBSD server and i am using directadmin not cpanel..
is it still possible to run your script on my server.
All the rest of the requirments are ok

As long as you're comfortable installing the forum application and know how to insert minute crons, then you should be fine.
 
Update:
We're going to begin a private beta testing the next version of Forum Generator with a small number of FG customers over the next week. If you haven't already signed up on the support forums to be in the beta test, then you'll have to wait. If everything goes well, we'll release the beta to customers like we did last time. Lots of new features. More news to follow soon.

Yep - you are correct - it is the join dates - which you have to admit - does look suspicious when everyone shows the same join date, since they are getting added first, before any posts show up. But I am also seeing where just about every post in a sub-forum will have a "same date" format as well, which corresponds to the date I set up the forum and provided the keywords for it. I have been adding subforums to mine as I come up with new keyword lists, so, the initial subforums will correspond to the join dates, and the subsequent ones will show their creation date, so to speak....I will pull together some screen shots and send over to support.....

Thanks, Michael. Screenshots or URLs would be very helpful as I'm not sure we've seen an issue like that before.
