@jamie3000 even it's no technical required tasks, the rate also depends on other factors such as VA working time (timezone), short or long term, their TOS&PP and experience.
I've seen people working for very low rates (Web design) and use copyrighted materials to sue you indirectly later. Just an example of many. Avoid being fooled !!

I've been tempted to look on there, but to be honest people I know have used it and said it's not worth paying for, when you can go to Upwork/Odesk, Freelancer etc and it's free to register and use it.
$499 for a year even the best value at $89 a quarter....

I also know a couple of guys who hire through CraigsList manilla and those types of places.

As for rates, keep the rates lowish but fair, but it's good to give bonuses too.
