The Office: US vs UK

I just finished watching The Office ( US Version ) and I have to say, it's a great show.

Before I started watching the show, I had to make a decision. Watch the US version or the U.K. Version. I have to be honest, I chose the US version since I'm more experienced with US comedy.

so my question is:

Is the UK version as good as the US version? Is it better?

I don't have any experience on British "Banter" so I think this should be noted.

I think you have your answer. British comedy probably isn't for people who refer to it as "banter".

Love the US office, its one of my favourite comedies. Dont really like the UK one at all.

We have a completely different sense of humour over here in the UK. The Office here is full of subtle irony as David Brent thinks he is the coolest boss on the planet but everyone is laughing at him and not with him. I find with the US Office it is more joke led from all the characters.

I prefer the British Version.
US Version is OK but always felt like it was trying too hard.
Agree with @islandman1010 that the British version is subtler without having the jokes rammed home.

I loved the US version, but never see the UK.
Maybe i will check it, i like most of the British comedies.
Black Books and IT crowds are my favorites

The US version is one of my FAVs,Im not a huge fan of British comedy though

American one is way better! I normally prefer UK humor but in this case the US version is the winner for me.
