I can no longer understand Google plus

It is so confusing to manage your personal page and business page.

Plus everything is either connected or you have to manage separately like the business google+ page or google my business and google maps etc.

Then I went and found out some photos are there on 1 and not there on another and also my photo and address on some other business page with different number and url (which i reported to google using feedback button).

Can anyone make it simple for me?

Which is important to manage and update as far as google is concerned
Google+ ?
Google Local ?
Google My business ?
Google Maps ?
ANY other?

I agree with everyone here it is a whole lot of mess. It does boost your rankings like crazy though. I plomp links in there and a day later the page starts ranking.

Agree that g+ is shit compared to other platforms, but i have personally seen a lot of benefit from using it. It for sure wouldnt even exist if it werent from google, but its kind of like respecting the bosses kid; sure, its a pain, but if the boss sees you paying attention to him youre liable to get a raise.

Google+ is useful for ranking easily but that doesnt change the fact that it IS shit and every time they make a change they make it more annoying to navigate.

I mean before I could make a post directly from my profile which makes sense and now I have to go to home and view a wall of shit to make a post?

Its also really difficult to get the site to register my correct account to post to since I apparently have an account auto created with my gmail but if i want to have a useful link someone can remember like youtube/c/yourcustomnamehere its much faster to make a business page to get a customer url without needing 500-1k subs on youtube.

When you get into multiple pages for the easy custom URL Thats when stuff really starts to hit the fan and the site becomes total poop to navigate. Some how the ipad app gets it right and its easy to do it from my ipad though. Not to mention that half the time when im trying to edit my pages it doesnt give me the option to because it keeps logging into the wrong page. When I try to log into the correct page the site says NOPE.

All those big companies are competing to get everyone on their sites for as long as possible, its a play at keeping people totally invested in google and not using anyone elses services therefore they can control the market for ad revenue. That's why you see all google stuff attached to android phones etc. The longer they can keep you on their sites the more money they could earn from repeat visitors.

Google is making Google+ complicated in every update. Everytime when i try to learn how to use Google+, They update it with more complicated interface. I don't think there is any benefit using Google or may be we are not aware about it. I've used Google+ in past for indexing purpose only.

Totally true that whenever it updates it gets messy. It doesn't even need an update to be honest. It cool as it is.But sadly they make stupid updates totally true!
But if you are not using G+ then you are not doing it right because you do not know the importance of it until you actually use it and see the results with your marketing or any traffic that you were promoting.

Yep, such a waste, they invested millions into that social network, yet forgot to hire someone who will make it intuitive and easy to use.
On the bright side, even if they hire someone who will make it intuitive and easy to use, that network will never make it under the long hated Google brand.
