Skype is pretty secured.

Skype is pretty secured.

Skype isn't secure. They don't do any encryption beyond SSL, which is easily circumvented with tools like SSL Strip.

Skypes VOIP on the other hand is on the secure side of things.

Whatsapp has been going through some changes lately. Their encryption is definitely very good, but now that it's sharing all of it's data with Facebook, I'd be a little wary about using it as a secure service.

Skype is as good a chat platform as any. I have used it for years, never had any issues.
