If you live in a large city, check the people from the minority like the gypsies. In my country, you can buy lots of cards from them for just 1-2$ per Sim Card

I see a lot of SIM cards for 0,1$, but I'm pretty sure you need to activate those before you can receive messages on it..

What do I need to look out for when looking for SIM cards on ebay/amazon? Does it have to be "prepaid"or something?

US SIM cards would be best, but I don't think it actually matters when doing IG PVA? As long as they're unique and real.

If you mean for digital is a virtual number that you can access online you can check http://smspva.com/ they offer sms verification via their remote numbers.
