Why is this kind of thread not allowed, but threads with false claims of having superpowers are allowed?

Is there something going on behind the scenes lately, It feels like there currently is an atmosphere of stressed out, panicking and uprightness about something on BHW. Because somewhat related to this, I have not seen a big deal about off topic comments in a thread until the past few days.

That thread got closed because it was soliciting thanks, nothing more sinister than that.

Because somewhat related to this, I have not seen a big deal about off topic comments in a thread until the past few days.

Dunno about this one. I, personally, shut a lot of threads down or clean them up because of hijacking and off-topic bickering.

If there's something in particular that's an issue, either post it here or PM me if you want.

Specifics I can work with. Emotions... tend to make me back away slowly and calmly then run like hell once I'm out of range.

You're the guy that said the forum was going to "mainstream" because I warned a guy for telling someone to jump off a bridge.

If you go on any other forum the lounge is normally full of "let's count to 1000" or "do you like the person above" types of things, they are total crap. They are a waste of time for those that read them, post in them or have to moderate them.

That's why I shut the thread. I'm sorry that you see this as some sort of oppression, I'm trying to keep the good content at the top and sink the crap content, so you all have a better experience while you spend time here.

You can make all the threads you want, just make them entertaining and not a complete waste of time.

Go and find me a pewep thread with less than 30 replies, while some of them are kind of boring the majority of them are funny. People enjoy them.

People do not enjoy threads designed to boost ego's via falsely inflating internet points on a forum. Like I said it's a complete waste of time for everyone involved.

If the first 3 pages of the lounge were constantly crappy threads like the one I shut are you saying the forum would be better? I disagree.
