I need cheap hosting service

Hey Everyone,

I need 3 to host 3 of my sites and I need fast and reliable hosting service. I was thinking to go for Godaddy or Hostgator, but someone told me that there is no difference in choosing those service over the cheaper ones. Is it correct?
How do I find one?
Is anyone in the BHW offering cheap hosting service?
Before you go full ninja on me, I did check out the sales thread in Hosting Forum. But, I did not like what I find and I did not understand most of it. I had to Google to find out what was 'VPS'. Please help me. I am new to IM.

Sometimes is not wise to get cheap host. For me important is the support whereby I can reach them 24/ 365 days . Can help me troubleshoot etc. Fast response. I don't mind pay slightly more for all these services. So far I using Siteground and yes slightly expensive but their support is there and hosting stable.
