Removing a watermark on a photo

Before anyone jumps down my throat about copyright. The photo is actually of a client of mine and I am working on an image gallery for him. Getty Images has quite a few photos of him that are newer and I'd like to use them in the gallery.

They are from various events so I don't know if he has copies or not and trying to get content from him takes like a week just because he's busy. I want to get this done but I also don't want to pay 500 bucks for a decent size image. You can enlarge and download the images but of course, they have the watermark.

I'd like to know if it's possible to remove the watermark or is there software to do this? I have tried in Photoshop and it's just beyond my skill level I guess. Since they are his likeness I don't see a copyright problem with this. If you want to discuss copyright, start another thread, don't piss on mine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

But I doubt the software exists since there's no formal way to erase pixels and fill them to make it look natural
But there must be a hope

Aside from that I guess you could post in hire freelancer section.

Ps I don't think your friend being in the picture negates the copyright issue in any way - just for your reference. But as you requested I'm not gonna piss on your thread

Thank you for the reply Anyhow he lives in a state where he has personality or publicity rights and it is even further extended by specific legislation enacted to protect just such a use of these types of photos that are sold for profit. Now I have to yell at myself for pissing in my own thread.
