Creating a new amazon affiliate store: asking for advice

QUESTION 1:
Is it worth to create an amazon affiliate store? I mean a website that looks a normal ecommerce, adding the products in an on-site cart, and during checkout the cart is automatically added in you amazon cart through their api. Or better create a comparison/review style website?

QUESTION 2:
Is it worth my time to try to do some minor edits to each single product description, title and url? Will I have big SEO advantages by doing this?

I'll give it a try and try to stand out from the crowd. I have a decent niche I want to use, and also I already have a good amonut of followers on a social network.

I'm a web designer, so I can easily give it a good looking UI. This will probably make it better than 95% of other affiliate websites using pre-made themes.
I'll also invest some time trying to edit titles and descriptions. Minor edits, not complete rewrites, as I identified about 350-400 products.
I bought WooZone for Wordpress+WooCommerce, so I think the on-site cart is a nice feature that can get thrust from users.
I will add a blog section with about 10 original articles to start with (some written by me, some others bought from writers).

Any other advice?

I am using Woozone for a few sites. It is an excellent product. For my theme I am using Themify which seems to work well.
