[METHOD] How to post links in Instagram bio without getting flagged

1. The problem is not always the URL. Most of the time the problem is that IG are using bots that visits the URL in your bio and crawls the website. If the bots find anything they consider malicious in the website DOM then they will block your URL.

2. It was a fairly long time ago since I used bit.ly so things might have changed now, probably not for the better though. I would not recommend you to use bit.ly as they are blocking / flagging URLs that they detects as malicious, just like IG do.

3. OGAds landing pages will get your accounts and/or your URLs blocked sooner or later unless you cloak them.

OP, I've read your first post - just to confirm I have my own domain, (it's actually a subdomain of a authoritative personal website of mine), when that link is clicked it takes it to a landing page that I created and then to the offer.

Understanding theres other things to consider to avoid getting banned, as far as linking is concerned - would I be safe to put this link in my bio?

Yes that will be safe as long as your landing page doesn't automatically redirect to the offer. The visitor must click the link manually unless you use a cloaker of course.

For the method I'm using going to be incentivising my traffic to fill out my offer which I understand isn't going to sit well with my CPA Network so I may need to use a cloaker I've been told? I understand if I do then I can hide my traffic source (i.e being instagram which means they then can't see I've been incentivising). So if I do need to use one then does that change anything?

Thanks.

so what you do put the weebly account directly in the bio? I think people use bit.ly or similar as a way to track click on the prelander,

Nope, just hide or spoof the referer and you will be fine.

LOL I thought method myself. never thought there was a thread for it.
Well its easy..
Or you can just code a javscript code to redirect it when someone click anywhere in screen..

Pretty solid info OP thank you for sharing this I'm sure a lot of user will find this helpful :)

A ton of people have this issue and I know a lot of people that are extremely discouraged because of this. I will keep it as short as possible. If you're trying to make money on IG with spam accounts and you're getting huge ban waves, your URLs could be the problem. Instagram has spiders that follow links and if you were to put the same link on many accounts, they will all get banned instantly.

What's written in this thread is to help you stay as safe as possible.

First thing: 301 redirects do not work to cloak a URL. (This means using bitly, etc). Instagram will detect what is on the other end of a 301 redirect so you are not fooling anyone by using a bitly to mask a URL.

Also, never put a URL in your bio that other people are using. This means landing pages that other people could be using (such as premade OGAds landing pages, or landing pages of any CPA network).

You have a few simple methods to get around this. (There are other advanced methods that seem like redirects to anyone clicking on the link, but I'm keeping it simple in this post to appeal to everyone)

1) If you have some $$$ to spend:
You can buy some cheap domains from somewhere like namecheap, godaddy, etc. Scrape the landing page you want to use by using a tool like HTTrack or Darcy Ripper or Google a different one yourself. Upload this site to your domains. Then, get creative with linking it back with your CPI or CPA offer (For example, if you're using OGAds like most people doing CPI on IG, make your own custom content locker and use it on your websites). Then, advertise your domains in your IG bios.

2) If you don't have any $$$:
Simply make a website on a free website builder. You can use weebly or wix or any other free website builder that comes with free hosting. Make a simple page that has a button that says something like "Click here to continue" and make the button redirect to a premade CPI or CPA landing page. These website builders will usually give you a domain like username.weebly.com which is ugly, so you can go make a custom bitly link and redirect the bitly link to your username.weebly.com. Then, put your bitly link in your IG bio.

For 1) or 2), use the same domain on a maximum of 5 accounts. If you really want to be safe, use 1 domain per 1 account.

If you have any questions, drop them below.

Question, you said using something like bitly doesn't work. Usually I take my link, do a bitly to it, a tinyurl to the bitly, and then a more obscure url shortener to the tinyurl link so that they get redirected like 3 times. Should that do anything at all or am I wasting my time? xD

I have been posting the OGAd's links directly in the Website field in the Bio not been banned yet. Just testing it out, i do have old accounts so may make a difference

Why not just put the your domain in the bio, skip the bit.ly cause i bet that flags it? Then link from that domain to a locker landing domain?

Help! I want to eventually run a network of 50+ instagram pages that all promote one web page. Would the safest way to do this be to create an Instagram account for the website I want to send traffic to + put full domain in bio and then have the other 49 accounts constantly shouting that instagram account out?

This might work for 5-10 accounts. When you start scaling you will get your URLs banned.

Yes and no. A simple automatic redirect script won't work. A cloaker works. A redirect button which the user has to click also works.
What if I made an invisible HTML button, then coded a special Javascript script for it that waits 0.5 seconds and then executes "onclick" for the button, where "onclick" executes a standard Javascript redirect? This way, the page isn't "pointing" anywhere automatically. It's just using Javascript to click a button 0.5 seconds in.

Has anybody tried this?

I have not tried this but I think you should. Perhaps the crawlers are staying on each site for 5-10 seconds to prevent things like this. I honestly don't know but I would love to find out. :)

I'm interested in testing this also. I need a couple things though. Do you have any URL's that you know for a fact are banned on Instagram and will trigger the "unsafe" warning?

If so, can you inbox me them?

Sorry to keep bugging on your thread but what would happen if 10 people had the same link in their bios. They are all real people not bots but still all have the same url. Would Instagram ban them?

How about if you have an affiliate url system set up on your domain and you have 10 affiliates on Instagram with your links in their bios. All though the links are slightly different (affiliate)

EDIT: like if a few thousand people have unique etsy URLS in their bio nothing happens, I want the same result for my domain :) I am eager to try this but nervous at the same time.
