Ok guys, I've hit my limit on "PBNs/Web2.0's/SEO/Blackhat Is Dead" threads so I'm going to do all of you a service here.
Whenever somebody creates one of those threads kindly link them to this thread and I'll explain why they are wrong.
Ready? Here we go!
PBNs: No PBN's aren't dead. You simply need to be smart with how you use them. There are at least a dozen good guides to building a good PBN here on BHW. And if you're posting that PBNs are dead most likely you've gone ahead and ignored them. You've got some reading to do.
Web2.0's: No Web2.0's aren't dead either. You can't JUST use these are your only T1 link as you could have a few years back, but the web2.0 if done right (again, read the guides people) is highly valuable. The #1 mistake I see is poor content, no dripfeed, and too few pages.
SEO: What you probably really mean in "the one method I spam again and again isn't working like it was last year, or whenever." The truth is SEO is alive and well and there are tons of us on BHW leveraging it to make a living. You simply have to keep up-to-date on what does and doesn't play well in today's Google, but SEO is here to stay. You may on occasion get hit and maybe even have to start over, but that does NOT mean SEO is dead. It means you're lazy.
Blackhat: Many here don't seem to really grasp what blackhat means. Essentially it means you're gaming the system. So by definition, unless the system (Google/Bing/Facebook/Etc) goes away then there will always be a game to play against it. If your old tactics stopped working don't spend your time here bitching, you need to start researching and learning a new way to exploit it. Of ALL the things on this list Blackhatting wil be the LAST to die. Period.
