Using fake person and picture?

I've started an Amazon website, and I want to use a picture for my "character". Is this legal? Maybe if i use a free stock photo?

dude we're using many fake photo for IG or FB, i think is not legal, you can used many photo from free stock sites such pixabay

I would likely put you at risk of civil liability though it is very common most people would not simply ask you to take it down rather than starting this huge hooopla

Yeah, but people wouldn't sue someone's FB spam account.. I might just use a stock photo if I can find one that doesn't look like a model
