PBN Guidelines - Domain Registration

This is a continuation of my little series (First Post) of posts about different aspects of PBN's. If anyone has any tips to add to this, please share them and help the community.


When registering your PBN domains it’s good to plan a little before diving in. This can be dependent on the size of the PBN you're planning to build of course, but there are a few things to keep in mind.

Whois Data: Should this be private or not?
After some searching I found a research paper conducted by ICANN which concluded that most often malicious sites will use Whois privacy and the only legit companies that also do are banks. At the end of the day, use both. Use FakeNameGenerator to create alias's or use Whois privacy.

Remember if you're using a fake alias, use a new email address. I generally go to mail.com and create one there as you can make email addresses from many different domains.

Also, there are registrars that offer whois privacy for life e.g. Internet.bs, NameSilo, DomainMonster, unlike NameCheap that only offer it for the first year.

Registrars:
If you have a small 5-10 blog PBN try to use a different registrar per site. This shouldn't be too hard. If you have a 100+ site PBN, you probably also have VA's who can manage the high volume domain registration. Still spread out over as many registrars as possible. Also remember that some registrars are just resellers of a bigger registrar which will show up in the whois data.

Times:
I like to register one domain per registrar per day for domains that will be pointing to the same money site. Think about it, the natural links from the 'whitehat' web probably won't have their domains registered on the same day or even within the same month. Spacing your domain registration times is good.

Cheap Registration Fees:

Its always good to look out for discount codes and keeping on top of this can be tricky. The following tools help to locate the best deals:

These are methods I try to stick by, but I must say I haven't always been so religious in implementing these in the past and still have had great results.

Articles, it varies for me, some have 3 others have 10+.
Article lengths vary, some have absolutely no links out to anywhere, some have links to genuine authority sites and then there are the links to my moneysite in a couple at most .

You mean you'll create a new GD account for each one ?
You'll need to ensure you use different emails and payment methods for each account too.

Yes, if you want to keep the domains long term (more than 1 or 2 years), then move them OUT of Godaddy ASAP! That shitty registrar is good for registering throwaway domains that you won't need after 1 year, because their renewal prices + WHOIS privacy are overpriced as fuck. Instead, use a normal registrar that charges a max. of $10-12 per domain per year which also includes free privacy. If you have an 100-site PBN network, you will be paying approx. ~ $100/month for the domains, which is nothing compared to the revenue a network like that can bring when used wisely. And you have peace of mind knowing that your domains aren't in a shitty registrar like Godaddy, will never get crazy renewal/privacy prices and will never be taken away from you for no reason (read all the horror stories online).

To add something else to OP's post, nowadays, I use only fake registration details or whois privacy, which means no more real names and other private sensitive info given to the registrars. Most people do this, because they think Google will track them down lol.. It won't, unless you are getting manually reviewed, and the chance of that happening among other millions of sites in Google's index are close to none. But anyway, you can use fake details + whois for anonymity + avoid tracking from Google if it ever happens. Shoot 2 birds with 1 stone!

If the registrar decides to give you a "contact info verification" (it happens from time to time), use secondeye's documents to pass the verification or any other seller that can make genuine-appearing docs in Photoshop/AI for any country. This way, you will NEVER have to give away your private details, can still keep your domains forever, fool Google with fake data and don't have to use multiple real personas or family members to buy the domains (what most members do in here). And if you want to take it one step further, use re-loadable VCC-s (virtual credit cards) to purchase the domains and fund the VCC-s via Bitcoin.

Yes you can, most registrars allow you to put different whois data for each domain which might or might not be the same as your contact info & payment details. If you register say 20 domains for your clients, you will have to put different data on each, otherwise the liability is on you. If a registrar doesn't support this, choose another one!
Same with PBN domains, if the registrar starts asking questions, tell them the domains are for your clients and you will be fine. Payment details don't matter that much, because only the registrar can access them, not Google.

Most of the times these services are cutting corners to produce volume. There is nothing like having full ownership over the entire creation of your network.

That's actually my plan, use GoDaddy to register the domains for the first year then transfer them. I have a limited fund right now and I'd like to maximize with what I can do with my money.

Then I guess it will be fine. But you won't have whois privacy and you can only register 1 domain in an account with a $1 coupon. So, if you want to register 100 domains, you need 100 accounts and that comes with a lot of headache -> different emails, different names/surnames and all other contact info and most importantly different payment methods. The coupons on GD can only be used with credit/debit cards (no PP), so you need 100 different cards for each account. Unless you can get them legally in your country, which I doubt it, you will have to rely on VCC-s and the least amount that is needed to activate a VCC (sold by sellers) is $5.

Now, an alternative would be to get 5-10 different debit cards (easy to do -> multiple banks and ask your family/friends) and rotate them while opening the accounts and paying for the domains. I have gotten away in the past in GD with using only 3-4 debit cards to register 30 accounts at once (and did this bulk signup many times) each with different data except the payment details. I know other people that haven't been caught as well yet, but there are also stories of GD confiscating your domain, because you used fake data or same payment method which is in violation of their TOS.

As I said, when I register with GD, I register domains that I don't care if I lose them or not (because I can get another similar domain and clone the site in minutes). PBN domains are too valuable for those GD fuckers to take away from you. So, it all comes down to a risk/reward ratio that is directly related to your budget. You have 2 options:

1) Ditch GD, choose some reputable companies with free whois (mentioned above) and register just a few domains/PBN-s, and then later when you make more money, buy more domains and expand your network. The risk is almost zero and the reward is substantial, the only negative thing is time. You need to rank a few keywords first, make money, then re-invest and do this many times over until you have a fully-fledged PBN network.

2) Do what I mentioned above and register your whole network (or part of it) on GD for the first year, so you can rank your websites faster and make money, because you have all the available domains at your disposal for backlinks. The risk is that you might lose a few domains in the process (or all of them in the worst case scenario) if GD catches you, but you will save a lot of money this way in the beginning. After you make money, of course it goes without saying that you should transfer your domains away from GD as soon as possible.

Most often they aren't very good and are over sold so your homepage posts rolls off the homepage in a couple of weeks. Another reason why owning your network and having full control is best.

So let me clarify again. Anything not in the home page won't be worth it right? Thank you. Almost pulled the trigger into buying blog posts that would roll off the homepage. Im not overly concerned right now with control or the safest sotes as I'm doing something blackhat.

In saying that, they work, its just once they roll off the homepage you may need to top up your links again with more. Some services will rent links at a monthly fee and they stay on the homepage. You'll need to hunt around for them.
